From the Manly Sea Eagles website, here is the ' Rd 27 Sea Eagles Injury Report' released on Monday, 02 September 2024:

Tom Trbojevic
suffered a Grade 3 AC shoulder injury against the Bulldogs (Rd 26). He will miss this Sunday's sold out final round match against Cronulla at 4 Pines Park, but will back for week one of the finals.

Scans confirmed
Jason Saab suffered a high ankle sprain injury against the Bulldogs. He will miss the Sharks game and be assessed week to week regarding his recovery and fitness.

Aaron Schoupp remains in a sling after undergoing successful shoulder reconstructive surgery and is planning to commence running this week.

Jake Arthur suffered a stress fracture in his left foot and underwent successful surgery to stabilise this. Jake has progressed out of his boot and has commenced running on an alter g treadmill.

From the 'NRL Casualty Ward - All the Latest Injury News, Updates & Returns Details' web page, Here is the Latest NRL Injured or Unavailable Update:

Manly winger Jason Saab remains sidelined with an ankle injury suffered in Round 26 and will need his teammates to keep winning if he is to play again this season.

Manly Sea Eagles
  • Jason Saab (Ankle, Finals Week 3)
  • Aaron Schoupp (Shoulder, 2025)
  • Jake Arthur (Foot, 2025)

Also, from the NRL Casualty Ward, Manly hub page, there are slight variations to the information regarding the unavailable or injured players and their return periods:
  • Jason Saab (Ankle, Finals Week 2)
  • Jake Arthur (Foot, Next Season)
  • Corey Waddell (Suspension, Finals)

So how many players are the Roosters missing?

  • Victor Radley (shoulder, TBC)
  • Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (suspended, finals week 2)
  • Sam Walker (knee, 2025)
  • Brandon Smith (knee, 2025)
  • Egan Butcher (knee, 2025)

NRL better let Manly play in maroon jersey. Looked spectacular today. There's no need to put Manly in the white away jersey.

JWH is back against us.

Radley gave the impression on the Matty Johns show he would also be back this week as well.

I want to buy a few tix
The nrl website says ticketed member on sale at 10am Monday
Non ticketed member from 1pm
The rest on Tuesday
I assume I have to wait till Tuesday ?

Hopefully the same team back up next week, with some extra motivation from the middle men on how the Rorters got on top of them last game.

Six day turnaround for this one, will be a few sore bodies tomorrow and Tuesday, fingers crossed for Turbo to backup..

Victor Radley supposedly suffered a fractured scapula against the Raiders in Round 26.

I did a quick research on Google to see how long it would take to heal and what I found, I doubt that he would be back because apparently, they are often associated with severe, potentially life-threatening injuries.

Most fractures of the scapula can be treated without surgery. Treatment involves immobilization with a sling or a shoulder immobilizer, icing and pain medications. The sling is usually kept for comfort for the first two weeks with subsequent increase of the shoulder's range of motion.

The actual fracture typically heals within 3 to 4 months, with patients recovering muscle strength and mobility a few months later. Scapula fractures that do not require surgery typically heal more quickly, and patients may be able to return to activities without restriction in 6 to 8 weeks, but it can take six months to a year for your shoulder motion to return to normal. Sometimes, full motion doesn't return.

Patient information for a Scapula Fracture can be found here:

  • Victor Radley (shoulder, TBC)
  • Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (suspended, finals week 2)
  • Sam Walker (knee, 2025)
  • Brandon Smith (knee, 2025)
  • Egan Butcher (knee, 2025)

So, just crazy man Hargreaves to come in, no big deal. We'll get a few penalties from him.
