Captains Call

Should have been titled CAPTAINS CHALLENGE...my bad...

I WAS a fan but fair dinkum these are becoming a joke...
Saw one used the other night to stop Titans getting a fast start to their 7 tackle set, another where Titans knocked the ball on (which ref missed) and it was recovered by Tigpies who then threw a forward pass (all in one play) but Tigpies couldnt challenge because the last call was the forward pass (I kid you not!!).
To top it off there was one on the w/e (cant remember game so prob sharks as I had had a few) where tackled player placed the ball and defender getting back to market knocked it with his foot where the ref called it a lost ball and when challenged the box confirmed the refs call - which was wrong!!
Nothing said about any of it but it is affecting the flow of games and doesnt even work!

P*ss it off now before it impacts the finals...

There were 4 or 5 successful captain's challenges on the weekend.

I actually like the concept. And we should have used one on two occasions before half time vs the Eels - both times when Tom got pinged incorrectly for a knock-on. First when he attempted to pass around a defender's body, second when he was defusing a kick. They scored from the scrum that followed. Even if it was unsuccessful, we should have used it to at least given us a bit of a breather.
