Canberra prices

Yesterday we drove down to watch Manly & the ticket prices were outrageous - $38 for general admission. Online they were $22-$28 (didn't get them as we were meetng friends down there). We questioned this and the extra $10 was an admin fee. No wonder there was only 12,000 odd people there............Ange 😡

It's because everyone that lives in Canberra has a high paying government job Ange.

On a serious note, $38 is pretty rich for GA.

Do clubs have to get their pricing approved by the NRL or are they just able to set their own ? Anyone would think this would've raised some eyebrows at headquarters.

And they wonder why crowds are down!!

While i agree its expensive, it's not the only reason. The fact that:

a. Canberra is freezing most of the footy season
b. The Raiders performance has been poor most of the season.
c. the raiders have to compete against the brumbies (who were far more successful this year) for weekend attendance in a city of 350,000 people (lets face it lucky if 10% are typical supporters of the raiders).

Deters people from going.
