Caleb Navale

TBH, I thought he looked a step behind the pace of the game at times. Despite his leg speed, he did look a little slow to react, and caught him struggling to get back in the defensive line once or twice. I hope we continue to develop him and ease him in with more game time. He does look promising.

I am not convinced but also have not given up on Navale yet… I think there is a baller there but I reckon he needs to strengthen… I see him similarly to Burbo when he came into the side..

He is being eased into 1st grade. Definitely can handle the contact but just needs to work on his endurance and adjust to the speed.
I really like what I’ve seen of him. He won’t let you down in defence and quick across the ground for a prop. Looks to have very good ball skills as well as a ball playing forward.
Could be a quicker version of Jurbo in the making.

Doing well so far.

Many are so impatient, let the kid develop.
I can understand about complaints when Waddell only plays 5-10 minutes a game because he is a seasoned Vet but it’s a complete different scenario for Navale being a rookie. Just seems like there was nothing else for people to complain about this week because we won & they are clutching at straws with this.

Probably could have given Bully some more game time as well but no doubt the coaching staff could see how the trend of the game was going and a horses for courses approach and looked like the right calls were made .
No questioning of Navale 's potential however

For all the people wanting to rush, we likely get Lodge and Aloiai back next week. There's no reason to throw a young gun under the bus ASAP, when we have him until the end of 2027. His time will come.

Disagree. We play Parra next week, so no easier team he will play against.
He looked great breaking tackles and going thru the middle to set Turbo with a try under the posts - until he dropped it.

Perfect chance for Seibold to keep him selected and up his minutes from 7, to maybe 8 or 9. 🤔
