Burbo

Nit picking but missing the point.

Koula one of fastest in NRL.

Burbo is not a line break threat. There is no arguing that.
You literally said we don’t have centres that make big metres which was easily proven wrong with facts. That’s not ‘nit picking’.

No I believe we are discussing different points, I'm not comparing Burbo and Koula.

I simply replied to your comment saying we dont have centres who make yardage by pointing out Kouka is 3rd for all centres for run metres.

Coming out of our 20.

Burbo showed steady improvement last season and has largely played to a quite good level this year
Haven "t noticed those occasional wider hole running good outcomes this season, more concentrated in closer ruck attack but sure that he has not lost any of his general mobility to make the most of this ability and his back up and support play has been quite impressive in 25 as well .
Defensively , pretty much holding his side of the ruck in good enough check and more then robust at times also
Definitely in the keeper category the past 18 months or so and maybe still has just a little more up side and probably a benefit too that he has filled out quite a bit the past couple of seasons

I think Burbo has been one of our best this season, except when defending out of position in the centres. But I agree he is very much a first grader now and he hasn't hit his ceiling yet.

Incidentally - one thing I am noticing more and more, from things like the above photo but also his behavior on social media, is that Saab can be a bit of a knob.
Saab is a probably my least favourite manly player. Big Andrew Tate vibes.

He is average at best and indicative of what we have come to accept as good enough. Would not make any top 8 side starting 13.
Similar to Croker - “ trying hard” is good enough.

Agree that we don’t get the DCE try without Saab, but have no confidence on his defence, his hands or his tackle two hit ups coming off our line - he gets folded like a camp chair. He can do some great stuff in attack - but with our team where it is - not sure he is the guy we need.

Saab did make a couple of good 1 on 1 tackles today including one where Tass was unmarked ouside and if Saab missed, Tass was off to the races. And he was the second top tackler of our outside backs behind Turbo who made 28 tackles.

The only one of our starting outside backs who didn't miss a tackle today was Lehi.
