I was one of the people who defended this move. It's a risk but we need to take it. It just so happened Jake was concussed that night and we had the opposite problem...

You have to take risks in selections, and I'd be happy to see Simpkin dropped for a back.

Ben has bulked up to become effective at 2nd row and is simply too slow to mark a quality centre like Gagai, put Guac in the centres and he would have got embarrassed even worse…
