Match Stats

So one week for 'needles' xerri for putting saab out for 2-4 weeks,
and $1500 fine for brown over a head high tackle after copping about 12 himself.

Look everyone, it's the mrc's dartboard of justice!!!

though no case for Brooks so that's good.

I see the dogs #7 attempted trip was reported but nothing came of it (fair enough, he missed and I know that sometimes the nrl will send a letter to the player to tell them to watch it.)

He still had a hail mary.
Dogs just score and we all start wondering, there second last , maybe 90 seconds later on 4 th, mid field, grubbers cross field for oku
Nice play if it cones off
But hands the dogs the ball earlier than required and in far better field position than we needed

Cant help himself. He just seems petrified of defending a lead which is pretty ironic considering his style
…. But what about that 40/20?

I somewhat disagree, after short turn around and travelling NZ,Bundaberg and Brisbane I expected them to be fatigued. They were due a loss. The hype is just that, hype and I don’t buy into it. It’s only because we are been ****house for the last 7 years and Ciros system is finally working and Gus cleaned the club up. At the end of the day Manly were the better team last night but it’s come at a cost to both teams which isn’t ideal. If Burto fails his HIA this week it’s not good, as for you guys losing Saab and Turbo is bad. Interesting weeks ahead
I think you will know more about your side after next week. I honestly could see it going either way for the dogs.

Absolute disgrace he only cops a week after injuring a player who's looking at minimum 2 weeks out. So much for harsh penalties to stamp out the hip drop. If that tackle was made on Cleary, Tedesco, Walsh or any other koala in the NRL, I'm betting Xerri gets 3-4 weeks.🖕MRC

It's a syndesmosis injury (high ankle sprain). We won't see him again this year.

I didn't see it happen, but apparently it was a hip drop from your guy Xerri, and he was placed on report for it. Not sure of his judiciary record, but they do tend to take player injury into account, so you might be without him for a week or two.
Latest injury report has Saab out for 2 wks only, if true, it's good news indeed.

Why do you say this was luck? We could’ve had an extra forward on the pine but Seibold chose Koula. Seems more like design than luck to me.
Yeah, you could be right. I didn’t think it through so carefully… I had just assumed he had him there as a utility fill in whatever role (without really expecting a back to go down), and given Koula’s quality it would have been hard to leave him out of the 17.

You would like to think it’s not insurance against Turbo going down, but that does happen too often (unfortunately).

It’s footy, not a beauty contest. If it was though the Hall of Famer would be John Hopoate.
Admittedly John is not about to win a George Clooney lookalike contest.

However given this is a Manly supporters’ site, not a (Terry Lamb-loving) Dishlicking one, we can say what we like about another team’s players, within reason. As long as we don’t go overboard.

Xerri must be a strange cat eh! He’s got all those Tatts and then to chop that big snoz like he did…he must have some pretty big insecurities. It hasn’t helped. If anything, the new nose looks worse.
Looks like there could be some issues going on in that gangster-like head of his.

Go for gold my friend. Doesn’t bother me
