Funny thing is, if you look at the teams on paper I think even objectively, we're the superior team. Just goes to show how much attitude and desire determine a team's D.N.A and on field performance. Here's hoping we put in our best performance of the year. We'll need to if we have any chance tonight! Go Manly

Low-key players like Kikau, Burton, Addo-Carr, Mahoney and Chricton? Sure, the rest of the squad was made up by buying just about every NRL-standard player on the market (utility value a bonus) and seeing who worked and who didn't, but the idea that the Bulldogs are a team of little strugglers who have banded together out of mateship and a shared love of the game is a bit of a stretch.

(And yes, Manly fans are jealous because we wouldn't mind recruiting a "big-name" player instead of bargain-basement castoffs for once. Luke Brooks is as close as we've come for a long time.)
sure there are some big names but as I said low key names showing some great performance, regardless they are playing with passion and it hasent happened overnight. Manly have plenty of star players, both origin captains in one team,Haumole they have the makings to be there up the very top, it should be directed at the coach if anything the best thing to happen to Manly in my opinion was to rid the Fulton influence

Yep, plenty of "stars", but oddly, we've developed them all. Our big problem has been getting them to work with the rest of the team - something (as you say) the Dogs have done very well this year.

Even taking out a few lucky golden point wins here and there, the Dogs have been much more consistent than we have this season. You know what you're going to get each week, and you know they're not going to beat themselves. We, on the other hand, have made an artform out of beating ourselves. I'm never more nervous than when we have a double-digit lead.

Anyway, tonight's game could be anything. Could be a blowout win or a blowout loss. Could go down to the wire. Let's just hope both teams get to play and the ref doesn't decide to make an impact on the result.

Well said, I’m not overly confident with it - the stats for Manly at Accor are not very good but stats are just stats at the end of the day. I expect there to be a fierce crowd there tonight so it will be up to them so see how they handle it. We are probably due for a loss though so wouldn’t be surprised if Manly win. Will be watching in a packed pub on Northern Beaches with my manly mates, should be a cracker.

We’ve won twice there in about the last 20 games , the Klein / Sutton “ cartel “/ the Bulldogs Fairytale.

No wonder we are far from favourites.

The opposition will have to implode badly without their superstar centre for us to be ANY chance , and the ref will have to stick his whistle in his pocket ( 😂😂😂😂) for that to mean we win.

Chricton is a big loss. I rate him as probably the best "big game" player in the NRL. In finals, in Origin, in just about every NRL game he plays, when he needs to step up, he does. He is that good.

But the Dogs have played well without him before. Pretty sure they belted the Broncos in Brisbane when he was on the sidelines.

Being a member out at accor stadium myself i am going to make the trek out tonight there.

Going to be crazy busy and will be a late night getting back to beaches after the game.

We have only won twice since I have been a member in 2014 out there.

And will be my 1st manly game live this season.

there is so much on the line tonight.

Win and we will be a live chance of a home semi final next week if we can beat sharks at home on a sold out brookvale oval.

I don't like our chances tonight think the crowd will get al least of one players sent to the bin.

Will be very interesting to see now we respond to last week.

Any accor stadium members if you can get out there to support the boys we only get see thrm play out 2 times per year.

Either it will be us by a big margin or dogs by as you 10-14 points.

For the reasons I suggest above Dogs by 10-14 points.

We would have to have every single little thing go our way and with Klein / Sutton there’s no chance of that.

Such a pity that we can’t see two good teams going hammer & tong and leaving the stupid referee decisions on the sideline.

But the Fairytale needs to be massaged.

Be nice to be the recipient of the “ Fairytale” treatment, I guess they want to see us wooden spooners for 5 years and a basket case before that happens.

This may sound odd but Manly's biggest issue is DCE.
He is a brilliant playmaker, but is absolutely rubbish when it comes to MANAGING a game.
At his age, you would think with his experience that would be his biggest strength, but he is getting worse and worse.
When i watch Manly, it looks like there goal is to try and score off every single play, spreading the ball from sideline to sideline which involves risk taking and when they do make a mistake, they cannot defend it.
You cannot win big end of season games like this.
I remember 2 years ago? the game between Manly and Melbourne at Brookvale on Thursday night, Manly had a big lead and the Storm scored 3 tries in 5 minutes and cut the lead to 2-4 points.
Manly had the ball about 40 metres out of the Storm line, made a semi break, the siren goes off and DCE chipped the ball. I remember thinking this guy has nothing between the ears. Simply take the tackle and win the game, why kick and leave anything to chance?
He is Manly's biggest problem, he has no clue how to manage a game, just thinking attack, attack, attack at all costs, it does not matter what the score is, what the conditions are etc, he has to try and score off every play.

And you watch the NRL will want the dogs in a PF or even the GF provided they don't face the storm in the PF

this has rabbits 2014, sharks 2016 vibes
They may not win it this year but they will be given a title in the few years.

We have played 6 away games in Sydney/Wollongong this season and won none. Is that all bad luck? refs against us or are we are flat track bully's?

Mutts not beaten at home this season and our terrible record at Accor since 2013 gf loss I see no way we win tonight.
