It's strange that Newcastle were chasing bird because they wanted the Maitland boy to go back to his roots and replace Jeremy smiths experience. Now they appear to be in the position of chasing a manly die hard in favour of the 'semi-local' product? And this might give us bird instead??

Thank God we have you to let us know who is and isn't a supporter.

Many long time fans are obviously disillusioned at the direction the club is heading. Anyone who thinks Uate is a better buy than Buhrer, even not factoring in all the "good club man" stuff, has rocks in their head.
If anyone thinks Uate is better than Buhrer is off their head.

I do not want to see Ferris go, but ditto I didn't want to see Ballin go, and I certainly didn't want to see Menzies go and I never thought we'd shaft Vautin , but all of those things happened AND we survived.

If Ferris goes will I be happy.....no.

Will the club survive......yes.

There is a big difference here Mark. Both Menzies and Ballin were over 30 and approaching the end of their great careers. Buhrer is 26 and just entering the best playing years of his career. I could understand the logic of the other two.

But not with Buhrer. He could have another 6-7 years left in him, and given he has been one of the few forwards to show purpose this year and in previous years, I dont understand the logic of letting him go at all. I know Brown is an international but he has much the same role as Buhrer, but I would consider the latter far more effective. Add to that Brown is just turning 30 and it makes even less sense. Barrett seems to think highly of him, he's made co-captain. Who the heck has it in for this 'nice guy' of the Sea Eagles.

Do NOT take my comments that I condone , am in favour , or approve of any decision that looks like has been made, Im not.

It's a disgrace, and is bloody sad BUT does it mean the end of the club, no.

Players come and go, sadly it's a business these days!

Is Lewis Brown bigger than our club?
Who would you choose?

it looks like this is the case mate.... in reality i could never understand why Brown was signed for 3 years and Jamie Buhrer was on the unwanted list.

They both play backrow and hooker... jamie is miles ahead in both positions

But the fact is Lewis Brown is bigger than the club and the fans ... this is fact .. they have crystalized this now with what's going on

And the person who recruited Lewis Brown is in fact bigger than the club

Get over yourself I'm sick of listening to your endless vendetta on Lewis Brown. He was a bad buy so what not the first and not the last.

No big stars are coming here with the stigma that's currently hanging around.

No big stars, no little stars, no kids with potential. All we will get is the Uate's, Myles' and Lewis Browns' of the nrl.

Our club, as far as others are concerned is on the nose. We have

1 Serious issues regarding match fixing over heads.

2 Two seasons of missing the finals and are sinking rapidly down the ladder, the spoon is a real possibility in 2017.

3 A coach who has no winning record or drawing power to attract anyone except his friends. He probably isn't even the coach.

and

4 An ownership that has shown no regard the clubs history, supporters and more importantly players (refer Matt Ballin).

Go ahead put your "troll" and your "dummy spit" and your "dislike" on this post but in your hearts you know this is the absolute truth.

Match fixing in hanging around your so called legends. Not the club. Wooden spoon isn't a possibility while Newcastle are in the comp.

It is the fact that we lose Hiku, Gutherson, Symonds, Ballin and Bhurer and replace them with brown, Willaime, Wright and Wright. Not to mention Myles

Our recruitment is ****ed and so are the dickheads running this club

Really well said @tookey.............!!!!

It is a culmination of absolute utter **** signings and releasing Manly men that has totally enraged me, what the heck is going on?

I understand no one is bigger than the club and the club will survive, but so ****ing what.

But seriously, Lewis Brown over someone like Buhrer, what a flaming joke.

Can Bozo tell me why Barrett, Cartwright, Brown, Myles, Wiliame, Wright and Winterstein were recruited. Sorry to say all are ****e and have nothing, nothing on Buhrer, Tooves or Ballin for that matter.

I was devastated with Tooves and Ballin and to a lesser degree with Hiku, Gutho and Knight. But these latest developments with Buhrer is the final straw and has broken the camels back so to speak for myself and some close friends and family.

Bird and Uate are NOT great possible signings, they are just more rubbish.

Yahoo we still have Jake, Tom and DCE, yeah great who knows for how long though, contracts mean nothing...!!

Anyway, it is a clear message from the franchise to not have any connection with any players that are Manly men because we could get rid of them for no particular reason. Too many decisions over the past 20 months have been purely ego based, which makes things so much harder to deal with.

I will not be renewing next year. But the franchise will find some spin to 'increase season ticket numbers' next year no doubt. Maybe they will inflate their membership numbers next year, by introducing the Manly TV member. Hey roll up, roll up, sign up to watch three Manly games on TV and you get a hat and a special manly TV remote control cover. And magically the member base will increase and Bozo and ZtH can trumpet out how amazing they are at increasing members in 2017.

Now think about it with Killer gone as well this will leave a huge hole that can not be filled and you certainly cant begin to build with ****e like Uate and Bird and others. We are recruiting like we want to be loosers.

Also Snake and Matai another year older and both hugely injury prone.

Mark my words we are heading for a wooden spoon in 2017 unless Newcastle happen to really be worse than what they were this year, which I doubt they will be.

I will always love Manly, but the franchise is completely ****ed and I am completely fed up with it.
