The 'best rugby league stadium in the world' looked like a sand pit. not for the first time either.

Regarding the surface, the commentators only said "hmm... slippery surface tonight" and by Monday it will be forgotten.
Greenturd's genius has an 8 game weekend of footy scheduled there next year :wondering:

The dumbest of a long list of dumb ideas that is just another money grab

Wakefield have artifical turf and have seen a growth in injuries due to surface and are now looking to remove it in favour of real turf

There are plenty of artificial surfaces in the UK stadiums. I have walked on a synthetic /natural combination grass surface on the Liberty Stadium in Swansea Wales which is used by the Swansea premium league team and the Ospreys pro rugby team. It’s a fantastic surface, it’s about getting the combination right.

Simply fixed. He'll just transfer the round to the new Parramatta Stadium.

This is understandable, getting back to asphalts will increase the grip a lot and prevent over steer.

One the downside far less entertaining

I think its a great idea. If you can somehow make your home ground unique to play on it gives you a huge advantage as other teams just aren't used to it. As mentioned, it works well in the NFL and is associated with a reduction in injuries there.
