With that in mind I would drop Vave as he is off to Parra (as great as he has been) as well as Starling and with Walker out go with a team like this (pending second tier cap and NRL clearance for Meehan and Hoppa

Yes, anyone with injuries has to be worked on now.

Tom is at such a crucial point in his career. It is imperative that he gets well and doesn't end up with a chronic ankle problem. He is young, he should be able to heal completely and the time off will just fire him up to come back to a future that looks so promising.

A coach focused on the team's future rather than his own survival would use the remaining 3 rounds to blood who he can for next year. However his ability to do so may be constrained by the second tier cap. I agree with letting Tommy T have his surgery now and I agree with in giving the opportunity to young players to play first grade. Whilst Vave is on the payroll we should get our pound of flesh and he is giving it his all.
