Brett Stewart may never play in the NRL again

^ Mark "Boxhead" Bryant weren't no oil painting either. My wife's nickname for him was "SUMIL", standing for Second Ugliest Man in League. The First Ugliest Man in League at the time was Luke Rooney.

I assume your wife's list is current players only, otherwise P Gould would have to be near the top of the list.

Ah yes, Trent Robinson. Arguably the world's finest representation of what a head would look like if a circumcision was performed upon it.

As opposed to our Trent. The world's most handsome first grade rugby league coach, as befits a man coaching a team in one of the world's most physically attractive suburban districts.

In contrast to the relentlessly overcrowded schmozzle that is the other Trent's adopted domain.

It doesn't get much worse than this.

A cursory look at a few photos of big Bill Hamilton will get the pulses racing! lol.
Another "pretty boy" was Manly pivot Alan Thompson. Such a handsome guy.

In the looks department, things hit their lowest ebb around the time of Mark Broadhurst's recruitment* in 1981. Sorry Mark, but you were no Brad Pitt/Paul Newman/Errol Flynn in the Handsome Stakes. Fortunately they did have some handsome lads in the team at the time to counter that.

*With an honourable mention to John Hopoate, around a decade later.
For those who don't know what Mark Broadhurst looked like .

Mark Broadhurst kicked a field goal to win a game for manly vs steelers. He is a hero for that and if there was any justice that is how we should all remember him. Not for the punch up.

Correction, I just checked the stats. It seems he only kicked one fg in his career, and it was FOR Illawarra in 1983. My teenage brain scrambled the memory. Carry on remembering him for the brawl.

He beat norths, that's why I probably remember the warm glow.
