Kurt De Luis is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a party.
It’s alleged De Luis and some other men invited the alleged victim and some other women back to the address after meeting them at a local hotel.

After receiving information about the alleged assault detectives arrested a 23-year-old man at the Oatlands home yesterday morning.

He was taken to Castle Hill Police Station and charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, and four counts of sexually touching another person without consent.

Magistrate Andrew Miller granted De Luis bail with strict conditions today including to report to police once daily, not to be absent from his residence between 7pm and 7am daily, not to consume alcohol or drugs, to surrender his passport, and not to contact or go near the victim.

Mr Miller warned De Luis if he were to breach his bail conditions he would likely remain in custody until his case had been dealt with in court.

“This matter will not go to trial probably until late next year,” he warned De Luis.

The matter has been adjourned until September 19.

While De Luis is yet to debut in the NRL, he featured in a pre-season match for the Manly Sea Eagles playing at prop earlier this year.

His current side, Blacktown Workers, are the feeder team for the Manly Sea Eagles.

Man charged after allegedly bashing woman in attempted sexual assault

A man has been charged after he allegedly tried to sexually assault a woman in a violent attack as she was entering her home in Sydney's CBD last week.

The 25-year-old victim was entering her apartment on Goulburn Street in the early hours of Friday, July 19, when she was grabbed by a man and forced to the ground, police said.

In the ensuing struggle, police said the woman bit the man’s hand before he allegedly punched her several times on the head.

The alleged assault was reported to Surry Hills police, and an investigation was launched by Sydney CBD detectives.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 30-year-old Surry Hills man at a restaurant in Harbour Street, Haymarket, about 5.30pm on Wednesday.

He was taken to Day Street police station and charged with attempted sexual intercourse without consent, sexual touching, and common assault.

He was refused bail overnight and is due to appear in Central Local Court on Thursday.

Separately, a pharmacist has been charged after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman during a consultation at his Mascot pharmacy earlier this month.

Officers from Botany Bay Police Area Command arrested the 45-year-old man on Wednesday after he attended Mascot police station.

He was charged with one count of sexual assault without consent, and two counts of sexually touching another person without consent.

He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on August 21.
