That is the first time I can remember of a racecourse in Australia being sold out before the day. I can't wait until she goes overseas.

I'm stunned at the quality of group 1 horses we have racing at the moment, and at every age.

This wondermare has forced the afl game in adelaide to finish much earlier to give the locals the chance to get to the track to see her get win no 21.

Oh and buffering will get his group 1 next week in brissy's btc cup.

BC has drawn barrier 15 for this weekend, but it is a straight course.

She could draw barrier 68 at Moonee valley and still win.

Have to love Peter Moody.

As the countdown to the big race continues, Moody again praised Black Caviar's owners for risking the great mare's unbeaten record by running her in England.

''We all saw the best local horse Frankel win here on Tuesday, but he's never going to leave the UK, his owners will never take him away from home," Moody said.

"But this mare's owners have had the balls to put her on a plane and travel halfway around the world and that is something phenomenal.

''Imagine having something this good and sharing it with the rest of the world."

very lucky indeed Luke Nolan. Needs a kick up the arse I reckon. Very lucky to hold on. Great stuff Black Caviar

She was definitely well below her best. Nolan can consider himself incredibly lucky that she got home as you don't stop riding like that in a Group 1 unless well clear and it was heart in the mouth stuff! Fantastic coverage from the BBC for the last time. Ascot and some of the other courses of Europe are incredibly beautiful.

What's the latest on her, will she run again and extend the streak ??

No one is sure. Two news items the last week have different forecasts.

From the UK Telegraph:

It has emerged that Black Caviar, who injured herself during the Diamond Jubilee, could well have run her last race. Trainer Peter Moody has already told the Australian press that his mare will not run at the Melbourne Spring Carnival in October and November, and is also to miss a planned trip to Hong Kong in December.

“I can’t honestly say whether she will run again. I just don’t know,” Moody said from Melbourne. The trainer plans to discuss the matter of retirement with the owners in the next few weeks. This all appears to be Moody’s way of breaking the news gently to Black Caviar’s adoring public, who have cheered her to 22 straight wins.

CHAMPION racehorse Black Caviar could embark on a "grand final tour" of the eastern states, including Brisbane, before retiring.

Black Caviar's trainer Peter Moody said last night an autumn grand final tour of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane would be his dream farewell for the champion mare.

"It's a $50 million question on whether she'll even race again, and without telling a lie, I've got absolutely no idea," Moody said.

Back !!! Better than ever ??? Track record with nothing more than a bit of a nudge with the heels and a flick of the reins. Impressive.

She will soon equal the King in Group 1's and will come close to equaling/bettering the all time record by the time she's done.

Most group / grade one (G1) wins

16 wins – John Henry (USA)[104] Kauto Star (FR)[105]

14 wins – Affirmed (USA), Forego (USA), Goldikova (IRE)‡,Hurricane Fly (IRE), Istabraq (IRE), Kingston Town (AUS)

13 wins – Black Caviar (AUS)‡, Moscow Flyer (IRE), Spectacular Bid, Sunline (NZ)‡, Tie the Knot (AUS), Zenyatta (USA)‡, Bayakoa

She already holds the record for successive stakes wins:

22 wins – Black Caviar‡
17 wins – Zenyatta‡
12 wins – Brigadier Gerard, Frankel
11 wins – Kingston Town, Cigar

And she sits 2nd on the all time undefeated list behind a horse from Hungary who last raced in 1874!!!

Once in a lifetime horse.

That was the mighty Kinscem. 54 wins from 54 starts. I named a pet after her. Legend.

Now that she's been retired I wonder who she will go to.If she was my horse I would go to Frankel but he's overseas so I suppose she wont go there. She could go to So You Think. He's was a very good middle distance horse and the foal may have more stamina than she had (although we will never know as she was never tested further than 1400 metres-my only beef about her career).Isuppose she could go to Casino Prince -he is after the sire of her half brother All Too Hard. It will be very interesting to see if they sell the foals or race them.
