Bird gone to Broncos

I wonder if they realise he is just a media sensation and is really worth about 500k a season to play in the backrow or at centre. He is not a 5/8 or fullback's arsehole.

They will be worse off in the halves next season because they still have two "play it as I see it" halves only Bird has no kicking game whereas Hunt at least has some semblance of a kicking game.

Why is it a mockery? They lose an international half for an Origin utility
Hunt wasn't on anything near Bird's new salary yet the donkeys still looked over the cap, now throw in an extra 300-500k a season and it just shows how ridiculous their cap is, Broncos are the teachers pet of the nrl...

I'm still sort of meh about it all. Which is easy for me as I'm not at all a fan of his and if the Donkeys want to waste millions on him, then good luck as he's heavily overpriced and as written above, he's not a 5/8. Lock would be his best spot for mine.

Hunt is on plenty at the Broncos and they also have better access to TPA's.Not sure it's that hard to understand

It was ordinary when he left st George after all they did for him. I have seen him around and he has struck me as a happy go lucky kind of guy. Not quite grown up. Nothing wrong with that except if you are a club investing millions into his actions on and off the field

Good old school footy player who competes hard and runs the ball well - an organiser??
Prefer to run off the Harbour bridge than a Bird pass...
Milford explosive solo runner - Boyd a good LINK player - Bird...a runner.
Its what I call a Bullrush spine....get the ball and think run - not pass.
Against the solid defensive teams without an ORGANISER, I can see this being an Epic fail - not because the players are no good - simply because there is no general to get them around the park, plus puts massive pressure on McCulloch to kick out of dummy half as Milford has a pop gun and the other 2 are a lottery at best.
You can take great food - have no recipe book and it will be a strange dish indeed - some things just don't go together.

One report stated that Darius Boyd may end up at 5/8 with Bird at fullback.

I suppose they have options.

Not sure if Bird and Milford will be a solid combination in the halves.

A great running pair of halves but no one to run the show.

Interesting.

He is a cocky prick.
I don't think he's a cocky prick at all just very confident and it shows in his footy . One of the best talents around and will turn into a genuine superstar good signing for him and the broncos but I don't know how they do it.

Hunt certainly wasn't on a mil a season, my argument is also about their seemingly unlimited TPA's

It's ridiculous full stop, sorry don't know why I'm blowing up so much about this
