The best thing about this season is I hope the coaching staff have assessed which players are the challengers and which players are the passengers so we can start the rebuild for next season

What would be really pleasing is if the Eels get absolutely flogged by the Broncos next week.

Unlikely I know, so failing that, the Eels flog the Broncos & develop a completely false sense of confidence before being obliterated & kept scoreless by the Tiggers the following round, setting them up nicely for a continued downward spiral going into the finals

I don't know if it is the result of the mid season rule changes, but I like how centres have become influential once again as strike weapons in the game. The standout centres don't necessarily have back rower type physiques. They are of various shapes and sizes with varying degrees of speed, strength & skill, e.g. Lomax, Crichton, Manu, Staggs, Olam, Nader & Best (maybe I've missed some?). Hopefully, a Sea Eagle will be in this list by the end of next season.
