Nah, if your injured your just injured ... it's not like he has played poorly or made a **** of himself ... and he didn't break the bank ... just unfortunate with injuries and that is not scorn worthy

He was probably on like 150 a year. Not the worst squad player For that price but hardly got called upon due to injury mostly and some others stepping up. Easy to forget about which is better than someone who is underperforming and either costing you a motza or making the team and ****ing up.

In the mid 1990s Manly got 2 fullbacks from NZ. Matthew Ridge and Jorgen Rogers. This is Rodgers only game - Rd 1 in 1994 he was given the fullback role with Ridge at 5/8th. After Rogers took the kick off, from there it was all down hill unfortunately.
I wouldn't necessarily say the best ever - but I can't think of any better. A champion for Manly every day for 10 seasons.

I know it was only for two seasons but we shouldn't overlook what Ben Kennedy brought with him and the platform he helped create in the seasons ahead.

His contribution to us was enormous and still to me is one of the most impressive signings in our history. I will put my hand up when we signed him I thought 'yeh i'd like him in his prime....but he seems injury prone....so not sure'
Egg was smashed into my face and I couldn't have been happier.
I will always say we don't win the 2008 GF without the signing of BK in 05 and his leadership and winning qualities that he brought to us in 05 and 06. He took a team that had potential (Snake, Choc, Monaghan, etc) with the quality of Beaver Menzies and turned us into a team capable of making semis and eventually winning the GF.
He was not only Des's man on the field, he (by all reports I have heard) stood up to Des and made it clear there are times the boys need a beer and a chill.
And of course my 2nd mention is Killer. BK was the foundation of turning us around, Killer was the cream on top that meant we won premierships building off this!
Back in the late 60's and early 70's we were desperate to shed our bridesmaid tag and win that elusive 1st premiership ... the importation of Bozo, Malcolm Reilly and the lads from Souths can not be forgotton or underestimated ...
