Why they don't have an offering for overseas consumers is beyond me. How do they expect to grow the game.

I would pay say $10 to have access to a quality livestream of the event.

Doesn't NRL.com have livestream ?

They should have it as its their event after all

They have livestream but not for the auckland 9's

Hang in there - for some reason all the Nines stuff is being held back for the official launch on Feb 10.

So the livestream may appear then :)

There are people asking for International coverage on here:

You should. And maybe go fishing!

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines team will be heading down to the Team Welcome event in Aotea Square in Auckland on Valentine’s Day (14 Feb) 12:15pm.

Raiders have just announced their Nines Squad even though the Promoter asked all Clubs to wait till the 10th

Most big names are missing and Stuart is also staying at home :dodgy:

Hope Manly doesn't hold back and we give it an honest shot.

Six more sleeps till Manly awakens for 2014 :)

So to get thru to the quater finals we have to win all 3 or 2 wins with good winning margin scores.

You could get through with one win and a better percentage. Two wins and you're through.

Just announced on livestream

Sea Eagles legend Steve Menzies is set to strap on the famous Albion headgear and pull on the maroon and white of Manly Warringah once again, after being named in the club’s inaugural Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines squad.

The 40 year-old former Origin and Test star was approached by coach and good friend, Geoff Toovey, after finishing his career in France and returning to home to Australia late last year.

The veteran forward has been training with the team in secret at the Sea Eagles base in Narrabeen this week, whilst the club sort approval from the NRL for his return.

Menzies comeback will add invaluable experience to a young Sea Eagles squad looking to make their mark and hopefully take out the inaugural event.

A host of Sea Eagles regulars have been named including premiership winning halfback and 2013 Clive Churchill medalist Daly Cherry-Evans, versatile back rowers Jamie Buhrer, Justin Horo and Tom Symonds as well as the Club’s 2013 Rookie of the Year, Peta Hiku.

David Williams will line up alongside wing partner Jorge Taufua, who has been named in the squad after recovering from a slight strain that kept him out of Friday night’s trial against the Sharks.

The team departs for Auckland on Thursday morning before visiting the Richmond Rovers Rugby League Club in the afternoon. They will also be participating in the Welcome Ceremony at Aotea Square on the Friday before taking on the Cowboys in their first match on Saturday.

Obviously Jorge is not injured.
This is a squad that will probably not win the comp. There are a lot of development players in it. This is probably the way to go. It will be interesting to see how many clubs pick their top players.
