Api......re-signs.

Manly's spine strengthened with Api re-signing
Finally some good news for those poor, long-suffering Manly fans.
I’m hearing that classy hooker Apisai Koroisau has agreed to new terms with the Sea Eagles despite offers from several rival clubs.
Koroisau was in great form early in the season before a broken foot in June brought a premature end to his year.
But he remains one of the most dangerous hookers in the game out of dummy half and his decision to stick with the club will give Manly a huge boost.
With Koroisau at hooker, Daly Cherry-Evans at half and Turbo Tom at fullback, Manly will have a spine as good as any in the NRL in 2019.
Where's the "thank god" emoji?!

Can I say this - I'm feeling some conspiracy theory coming on. Been thinking, as I have previously mentioned that Manly's appeal responses were sent back to NRL - got to be nearly 2 months ago, and we have heard nothing from the NRL; but we have heard stories or suggestions that

1. Talks off Centre of Excellence in next 4 - 6 weeks? Where is all the money coming from?
2. Players starting to re-sign new contracts- thank goodness for Api! Hear a couple of others will do as well, how do we afford this?
3. The NRL have allowed us to purchase a player or two
4. Media suggestions our fine will be reduced for next year?

Is the reason that we have not heard anything is it because there are secret negotiations being done between the club and the NRL, so the NRL can save face? I smell something fishy.
I'm with you on this thought @Supreme Leader My understanding was that we couldn't officially extend Api's contract due to the uncertainty of salary cap investigations. It seems to me that there must be arrangements in place for manly to do as they please. There's no other explanation unless it's all smoke and mirrors to detract from all the negative publicity.

Great news . Funny when Api came out and said Hastungs was a good mate of his then Barrett gone and he re-signs.

He re-signed months ago (or at least agreed to terms) but we could not register it due to the Salary cap drama. Siro did so as well.

I wish this was the case supreme leader and Spartan, I think Todd mentioning us by name today in reference to the Sharks cheating and how it's not as bad as ours kinda dispels this notion, unless he is a complete idiot and just re exposed the NRL to more of manly's wrath.

Some on here have short memories or are living in denial .........

This is the team which included Api that was Thrashed by Parra to the tune of 44 points to 10 .
It was Parras first win and only win of the season as they humiliated the Trent Barrett coached team
This was Trents team
1 Tom Trbojevic, 2 Brad Parker, 3 Dylan Walker, 4 Brian Kelly, 5 Akuila Uate, 6 Lachlan Croker, 7 Daly Cherry-Evans (c), 8 Addin Fonua-Blake, 9 Apisai Koroisau, 10 Martin Taupau, 11 Joel Thompson, 12 Jack Gosiewski, 13 Jake Trbojevic

Interchange: 14 Matthew Wright, 15 Shaun Lane, 16 Lloyd Perrett, 17 Taniela Paseka

After this defeat in round 7 Trents team which included Api had played 7 games and only had 2 wins and were place 13th on the NRL Ladder

And yet you forget to mention that a team very close to that, towelled that same Parra team 50 something NIL a few weeks before.

Agree we would not be anywhere near the spoon if API had stayed healthy.

Api played 13 games this year. Manly had a 4-9 record.

Yes we have missed him since the Warriors game, but its not like he or we were setting the world alight when he was in the side this year.

Oh, and while not knocking Api but when was he in great form this year? When the year started he was considered to be the 2nd best hooker / dummy half in the NRL behind Smith and an almost certainty for the NSW #9 jumper, yet within a few weeks of the season being underway his form was such that both Damien Cook and Cameron McInnes had overtaken him.

However, I am glad he has re-signed. While his form this year wasn't great, neither was Manly's. Having 2 proper halves in the side next year should also take pressure from his game.

Ok still a coincidence, but i thought they hung off on Siro and then Api because of injury concerns. May be wrong.

Did the journo ask him about manly? Otherwise I can’t see why manly would get a mention. We are jumping at shadows here.

Ruan Sims gave him points in the dally m awards for his efforts and she watched the game.
Oh
No she didn't...

That was the winless Parra team that was thrashed by every team before they turned their 50 something nil around and thrashed us .
That was Parras biggest win of the season . The humiliation of Trents team scoring 7 tries against us
Our quality team under this imposter of a head coach has underachieved and has never played consistent quality footy all year . We are a better team than that .
Even the Dragons supporters dont want him as their coach .
