Alright let's go - who wants him, who doesn't....Storm doesn't

There’s a reason the Storm are letting him go and that’s because he is ill disciplined and slowing down due to age; players the size of NAS do not have the same impact as they age because the leg speed suffers and they just become sluggish; it happened to Willie Mason. I know he is a little bit smaller but Taumalolo is also struggling to carry his weight.

NAS is not a leader and a culture guy so given he is no longer really bringing it on the field, we don’t need his experience.

Can someone explain to me how this reported 1.7 Mil settlement frees up cap space for the Drizzle ? Surely this payout has to be counted towards their cap ? If not clubs could just release anyone they liked, pay them out and write it off like a bad debt out of consolidated revenue or from a rich donor. Doesn't this go against the basic premise of a salary cap ? Crikey, we struggle to get retired players written off the cap, when they are legitimately retiring due to injury FFS .

They are not paying a settlement ,he has agreed to walk away from that money for the next 2 years. So probably has equal or more contract elsewhere.
Thats how I read it anyway.

Kerry Packer once said to the ATO, I don’t make the rules, you do, I study them, then apply them. Perhaps Melbourne just play like Packer, we need sharper people at our club.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him turn up at London Broncos, they're looking to make an impact and they've just got RCG out of his Titans deal to go there.

There is no way he would walk out on a guaranteed $850k for the next 2 years unless he had something lined up.
No other NRL team would offer him that much as he spends too much time suspended or in reserve grade.
Sounds like R360.

Maybe for half of what he was on.
But see the Titans or Roosters signing him if he stays in the NRL which would be unlikely and will head off to 360.
