All NRL Games [Round 25, 2024]

Why would Parra go for two there? Lucky Gutho the Shanker didn’t turn up… but even going up by 6 when they had good attacking position, just seemed pessimistic.

And now they give the ball away after the kick off.

Yep next week could get very ugly
Dogs by 24
They will frustrate us and get away everything
I don't give us a hope in hell next week
Specially even more if the sharks get beat by dragons this week.

They just look so controlled.

Plus the refs love them.

The NRL must be so happy to see the teams that led 16-0, 12-0 and 16-0 ALL lose their games so far this week.
How can so many teams so dominate the first stages of a game and then be over run in the second stage ?
Could it be momentum shifts due to the NRL officiating to keep teams in games ?
Now that is what you call ENTERTAINMENT not Rugby League football.
It maybe bringing in new audiences to the game (if you can call it that), but frankly pssing traditional patrons of the game like me.
Would watch WWE wrestling if I wanted scripted entertainment ! 😡

100%. Imagine how schiit a team is that leads 16 nil and manage to lose 😅😅

Hold it, sounds familiar 🤔 😏
NRL is saving on script writers. The Donkeys used the same one that Wests used. Almost identical score patterns, only Brisbane didn't need the leg-up penalties nor playing against 12 men for 30 minutes to sneak home much to the delight of the home fans.
Give the home fans the results they want; it's how the NRL is building its entertainment brand.

God, that was awful having to go for Brizzo just to get a tip right. The things you do.
Have a look at the clowns below. It’s that stupid hand dance they do that makes their heads so punchable!

^ lol. They don't need to hand dance to make their heads punchable.

Anyway...what ****s me about the media is that yesterday it was all about 'the upset' and no one really caring that Manly got stitched up by a LEGITIMATE CHEATING REFEREE, but after Crichton doesn't get a sin bin ...now the media come out and get stuck into the bunker and refs for a terrible call.

They'll only use Manly getting screwed over to bolster a case against another team getting hard done by. ****ers

Bunker: "high level of mitigation."

Please. Code for "The nrl want the dogs to win"

And Annesley- who has to go, will defend this b/s.

Are there any hackers around that we can hire to crack into the email accounts of the nrl bosses and refs to bring this rubbish to light?

I'm sure it'll be in other threads but anyway:

Crichton - shoulder charge - direct to the head. Grade 2 'careless' 1 week (first offence)

Waddell - slap across the face - grade 2 'careless' 2 weeks (second offence)

How the mrc can look at those two tackles, and decide the grading is the same is beyond me.
Maybe ex-footballers aren't the best to be on these committees. Joke.

But also, if there's a fine/suspension for careless actions (fair enough) that means in no way shape of form should we hear the bunker say the words "high degree of mitigating circumstances" during the game.

I've never heard that phrase connected to the bunker/refs/footy in general...ever.

The mitigating circumstance here was the nrl/cheating ref conspiring to hand the win to the tigers.

Imagine if we actually had some journos with the integrity and balls to ask A$$ Sled for a clear explanation of this term… where it is in the rules or guidelines, and to clarify its use. Dreaming, yeah I know.

I am not a "conspiracies are everywhere" kind of guy. Really, I am not. I generally think the simplest explanations - like refereeing incompetence or home-town bias - are always the most likely explanations. But f**k me if the NRL leadership/referee/media cabal isn't making me start to believe that deliberate manipulation of results is the only possible explanation to what we're dished up week after week.

The mitigating circumstance is that The Clunker is a Bulldogs supporter.
