All NRL Games [Round 20, 2025]

This ref can certainly find a six again.

I wonder if there are stats kept on the percentage of tries scored after six again calls. It must be astronomical.

When is Bennett going to start copping flack for Souths being 16th out of 17??

Oh they have injuries, boo hoo

Don't get me wrong but Seibold won't be able to trot out that our entire first choice front row (Paseka, Aloiai and Croker), plus our best back rower, are all out with injury if our season (and his career as a coach) dies like most are expecting it to over the next few weeks.

Teflon Wayne it seems.....

I was thinking the same thing, I'm guessing he gets the pass of heavy criticism due to his experience and maybe first year at the club 🤷‍♀️ but I am more concerned with their strength and conditioning team as that many injuries is ridiculous, I know some are complete accidents but others seem like there was more potential to avoid them.

Wayne walking around the sheds is looking more and more like a shady homeless person.

Funnily enough I thought South’s had a real dig last night and I thought the old fella got in their heads at half time, they came out with a good attitude in the second half given it was 18-0 and there season is well over, not a lot went their way and they never through the towel in, as a supporter you can’t ask for much more than that given the circumstances.

It’s a vastly different contrast to leading 16 - 0 at halftime, coming out and getting beaten 26 - 22 when you had everything to play for, wonder what our coach said at half time, that game and that loss along with the Tits, Eels and the drags will most likely be the difference in the end, even the 2 sharks losses , they were games we could of won at the time. Yes beating the Donkeys and the Riff helped offset the shockers, let hope we have one of those days tonight.

Now Origin is over if the first 3 games of this round are typical of what we're going to get for the reason of the season, I'm tuning out. What a horrid set of turgid touch footy it has been. Sharks v Roosters was stomach churning. The six agains and penalties and game management is killing league imo.

And the roll ball play the ball crackdown caused by the rubbish Penrith got away with last week vs Eels, didn't seem to this week include the Panthers. Poor Souths plodded along using their foot to rake the ball back thinking that was the rule. Silly boys. Killed their own momentum every set. Funny when it was imposed on Penrith and the other teams at the start of the year, Penrith were struggling to win. Never mind the crackdown will apply to Manly and the other remanining games today and tomorrow.

The six agains in the roosters v sharks had me turning it off at half time. It’s like one team gets six agains until they score, then it’s your turn. Basically the ref determining what happens in the game, not the players. Does no one running the game realise how difficult it is to defend multiple six agains and how large a penalty they are compared to the “crime” that is committed. One extra tackle would be much fairer and bring back some of the value in good defence - six extra tackles is over the top ridiculous. And relatedly, I suspect it has contributed to the “demise” of some coaches who still coach traditional league values rather than basketball league.

The idea of one extra tackle to compensate would be an excellent solution, maybe not so much for anyone trying to influence the run of play and as such the out come of games, but for the spectators, integrity and overall transparency of the game, top idea, the 6 again rule is a pox on the sport.

I’ve not bothered watching any of the other games but if that’s happening it’s just ridiculous , now is not the time to be cracking down on whatever’s been happening for the last 4 months.
