Interesting.....

According the the NRL.com preview of the match:

" Only Sironen is a chance of playing this weekend while gun fullback Tom Trbojevic is at least another two rounds from returning and Albert Hopoate and Manase Fainu sidelined indefinitely. "

Mind you NRL.com and Zero Tackle are often about 6 months behind with news, especially regarding the Sea Eagles.

Would you play Hoppa if we don't have him tied up beyond this year ?? If he brains it then we just add $$$ to his asking price. Personally I'd be keeping him out of the spotlight, don't want to be showcasing his talents for others to get a free look at. At least Schuster is signed up for another year.

I can't see him playing unless someone else is carrying an injury we don't know about

I think most clubs are aware of what these young guys can do long before we have heard of them. I have no doubt the club is doing everything they can to keep him beyond this year and it is probably why we won't be re signing Elliott.

I would like to see him get a start tomorrow and would move Elliott to the centres.

We don't have long to wait now to see if he gets through the first cut.

Interesting take. Maybe we are deep in contract discussions with him? Hope so, because there's every chance he will brain it in NRL. And if he does, what a boost to our season.

Definitely play your best available team.

Another take is Turbos injury a while off?

Lots of variables in the outcome of the final decision, most importantly we add an attacker to our backline if we have any chance of progressing not the finals.

Hopefully he plays he is a junior and great to see them get a crack

Yep. And as for those who say don't play him on a wet Brookie surface. If he's fit to play he's fit to play! Do we have a category of players who can only play at Bankwest in the daytime when its at least 19 degrees? He's fit or he's not fit I say, goddamit, and I sure hope he's fit!
For one thing, when his dad started for Manly, I had no idea how his name was pronounced. I thought it was 'hop-oat', and I thought that was a weird name. Since then I'm much better versed in the various islander pronunciations, or at least spelling. For example, I'm confident now spelling Haumole Olakau'Atu, a few years ago I'd have no chance!

Marty average?????? WTF? He was awesome when AFB was out for 2 weeks!
He’s been awesome all year along with AFB......WTF do people expect from him? He & AFB voted best front row pairing in the NRL.....average? If anyone has been average it’s Jake. Nowhere near as effective as last season in my opinion.
Was mainly referring to recent form with Marty and would correspond with Woodie 's no doubt accurate listings on prop stats for this season in general . Marty was well down the list in effectiveness at least among the better paid or higher profile props going around . Part of a dominant team performance last week but Fisher Harris and Tamou easily outpointed our props and especially Marty . Still have a high opinion of his abilities and certainly hope that he can return to his best right now but stats don't lie and Marty has gone well in some matches this season but overall has not been at his best or near at on many occasions .
