ACA tonight

Wasn't there supposed to be explosive allegations on ACA tonight,about the gambling on NRL?Just watched the lead in,and the top 3 stories were nothing to do with NRL.

Watched it here in SA had a Gay couple, trashed house, crash school, choice magazine and Oprah tickets but nothing on the scandal! Thought it may have been a different set of stories from NSW.

Well he didn't quash it at all.  All he said was that they have concluded their investigation and passed it onto the police.  If he did quash I would have thought he would have said, they investigated and found nothing at all, not passed it onto the Police.

The email that has been passed around is reportedly a scam. There is an investigation going on but ignore the hearsay that is pretty widespread.

I think he quashed that there would be no announcement this week but in terms of the allegations, he said everything has been passed onto the police, so its quite possible something could still happen on that matter.

The rumour was that certain individuals were about to be arrested and that the NRL were going to place life bans on those involved. He effectively quashed that ie, the legitimacy of the rumour.

Very disappointing, I was sure that text message to me was something special, a little bit of inside information from someone "in the know". I can't believe that it hasn't turned out to be true. It's making me think twice now about the offer I was going to put in for the Sydney Harbour Bridge which is up for sale according to this same bloke.

You'd think they'd do it for a better team than the Cowboys?  Whey would they be encouraging people to place bets on a certain pay out? 😉

[/quote]  They never feature strongly in pre-season wooden spoon betting because on paper they look better than they perform, and they supposedly have the world's best player.  Hence the rumours about said fellow to remove the major impediment why people don't bet on them.

Without having ANY knowledge of the SMS's some may have read and having tried to AVOID watching the tackle that resulted in a penalty being given, and not taking ANY notice of the fact that first time punters wanted to open an unlimited account with bookies to bet on just one wild option of a goal being the first score - this MOST LIKELY stinks like you wouldn't believe.

Gallop may have deflected the mad monday alluded to but I'll bet a giant bucket load that there will be a huge fall-out from this. This is the Fine Cotton of the NRL. Stay tuned.
