I've been reliably told that this is no issue, because players should just learn to tackle lower.

I know I’m probably in the minority here but I much prefer the game we are playing now than back in 2015 when the roosters were just lying on teams in their own 20 giving away penalties until the opposition made a mistake.

it’s faster, it’s more entertaining and high shots do need to be removed from the game entirely.

Each to their own I guess but I preferred watching a dour 16-14 game that was a contest for 80 minutes over 46-0.

If it's a Rooster - who cares ?
Yeh the high tackle stuff , especially when a player falls into to it and often in general in a contact sport is ridiculous and frustrating and allows players to milk the cow.
As for the players getting up off the tackled player I'm all for it....certain teams stifled attacking momentum completely and this was a personal pet hate....so I'm split 1-1 on the thread

Thank you @Snake. I floated this idea around here at the start of the year to create a petition regarding abolishing the 6 again and thought about it again as recently today.
Will sign it mate, the game is paining me in its current form.

The game is beyond a joke mate. What casual viewer would watch this crap, and last night, and Thursday too? And Tge puppets on fox carry on like it’s a surprise. Don’t get me wrong I love manly putting on 50 but to think we are good enough to nearly do it 3 times in 15 games we are kidding ourselves. The game is in a really bad place right now and that f$&@wit Vlandys is to blame for this. Egomaniac he is. I’d rather the wrestle tbh.

More entertaining? Thrashings are the norm and close games are the exception. It’s as boring as bat poo. I hate whatever this is.

Ummmm heard a whisper that the NRL is about to introduce sin bin for any tackles made above the ankles! “Any leg high tackles will be deemed dangerous & referees will be instructed to send off / sin bin any player deemed to have deliberately tackled an opposition player above the ankles. Defending players will be required to adjust their tackling technique in order to prevent any unnecessary contact above the ankles”….I couldn’t believe when I read the story!
