A strong Start is Critical

Looking at the draw, it is critical that the Sea Eagles make a strong start to the year.

Confidence and commitment to the cause will depend very much on our early showings.

The first round task against a fired up Warriors team is a big ask but it is essential that we acquit ourselves well, win or loss as the next four or five rounds are critical.

We must get early points to get the season off to a strong showing, and the Sharks, Storm home games will be vital. At least two wins in the first month leading up to the bye are a must.

This season could be one of the most tightly contested ever and we must be nipping on the heels of the 8 all year as a minimum. The guys with potential over the past two years have to stand up and be counted and now is the time for the muscle, commitment and willingness to bleed for our club to be in evidence!

We have a good early draw and should be well up in the 8 early.

We have the sharks, Souths and canberra and a bye early - then melbourne at home.

The 2 toughies are the dragons and warriors away. We can still these though.
