Does anyone know the score from the Asquith v Narrabeen A Grade grand final played at Brookie yesterday? I'd imagine that the Forans & Choc were there to watch their junior clubs.

In a blast from the past, the (not so) wonder kid Aaron Groom was playing for Asquith and Jason Ferris lined up for Narrabeen.

It's interesting comparing Groom and DCE. Both were star juniors that were not that big physically but showed heaps of promise. One of them went on to show that they had the physical and mental toughness to handle first grade and win a comp. The other went on to a brilliant 8 game career at the Dogs (they were 'breeding' them even then!) and a few seasons in England.

Groom beat Ferris something about 30 - 16

Was going to head down with my old man but ended up walking the dogs for about an hour too long. Shame to hear that farken Asquith farken won, but it's hard to shed any tears for Narrabeen.

Anyone actually get down to watch the game?
