I agree he's a great player and achieved many accolades. But he doesn't strike me as an immortal..I'm no Brisbane fan, but Lockyer is a great of the game I love. My guess is that it will be Meninga, which I also think is fair.
Seems to have started in 2017 - no one thought of it for 109 yearsOk, then not needed at the NRL level, thanks wasn’t aware of that!
He's an immortal in his own mind. It's got to be the man, Anthony Mundine! In his own mind he is "the best athlete this country has ever produced". How could anyone else get it? 😉
George Roses eats immortals for breakfast!Too right . Gorgeous George would definitely be an Immortal in his own lunch time
Tarnished by scameronI agree he's a great player and achieved many accolades. But he doesn't strike me as an immortal..
He's been tarnished.

He's an immortal in his own mind.
But he was a talented player. Watching him and Blacklock together was entertaining at times.
Would like it to be Provan before he passes.
Agree there HoldenV8. If not Lockyer then definitely Norm Provan.
I still have this image of The Mouth getting clean bowled by a Tooves grubber kick for Craig Innes to score in the corner early in the 1996 GF 😉
He's a leg end, not a legend.
And even though it was the Drizzle who benefited.....watching him murder a try with selfish play in the 1999 GF was good to watch. Mary McGregor would have scored untouched if he had passed the ball. Great 5/8's like Bozo, Daley, Fitter, Lewis.....they would have passed it. But Mundine went for the glory himself and suffered a TKO. More so than Ainscough's high shot on Craig Smith (who would have scored anyway), that one moment saw to it that St Merge lost that game.
