5 fullbacks for SOO ?

You could also through Josh Dugan into the mix. Quite incredible when you think about it.

OK, can we go into SOO with 6 fullbacks in the team.

I actually meant to type Dugan instead of Ferguson but the F button is next to the D button.

Why should Hayne get a run? What has he done to deserve selection other than this is Laurie Daley we're talking about and he'll probably select him anyway.....

Ferguson can play fullback, but he's more a centre or winger.

I would say the FB's in the squad will be Tedesco, Moylan, Dugan and Tommy.

Is it really possible that NSW can go into SOO with 5 fullbacks in the backline

Hayne, Tedesco, Ferguson, Moylan and Turbo.

How many fullbacks in QLD side Boyd, GI

Yes.
I've been an advocate of this this for a few years now.

In no particular order

Hayne - can play 1-6 ..and well
Tedesco - can play 1 & 6 although unproven at 6
Ferguson - has goat photos but somehow does it in the big games
Moylan - can play 1 & 6 and I reckon 2 & 5
Turbo - can play 1-5 and has done in his short career
Dugan - can play 1-5 and like Fergo can play the big games

Personally, I'd go
1. Teddy
2. Hayne
3. Dugan
4. Latrell Mitchell
5. Turbo
6. Moylan

Don't think Hayne has shown enough these last two seasons but I'm sure
he'll walk into SOO and own it - SOO is his stage, he's proven. Fergo I just don't quite get.

I'm sure there's more I missed but Woodsie threw those names up and I added one.

Hayne doesn't deserve it backline should be:

1- J Tedesco
2- T Trbojevic
3- J Dugan
4- J Bird
5- B Morris
6- L Keary
7- M Pearce

14- M Moylan

Looks like a good backline, i would say Mansour would be ahead of Tom at this stage and Maloney for Keary.

It annoys me that Keary and Pearce will probably be the NSW halves this year, because even though their club form is good they'll turn to water in SOO.

My backline for NSW would be:

1 - Tedesco
2 - Hayne (unless his form is down after injury)
3 - Mitchell
4 - Bird
5 - Turbo
6 - Austin
7 - Reynolds

  1. Tedesco
  2. Nofoaluma
  3. T Trbojevic
  4. Bird
  5. Mitchell
  6. Maloney
  7. Pearce or A Reynolds
  8. Woods
  9. Wallace
  10. Fifita
  11. Frizell
  12. Cordner
  13. J Turbo
-----------------
14. Austin
15. James
16. Boyd
17. Vaughan

Mansour is still out injured and won't play, same with Peats.

The team won't look anything like this, but I'd love to see it - size, speed and mobility. Plenty of experience still in the side, plus players in form.

I cannot see Tamou being dropped, goes pretty good at that level, would have him over James.

Half back is an interesting one, Cleary could be in the mix but is probably another year away due to his age.

The backrow is tough - they played 4 last year in Jackson and Graham on top of your 2, I think having 1 on the bench would be better balance.

Yeah I was thinking that (about the backrow); however, James has played that role before and Austin could also play that role. I just like Austin as the utility as he is great in the halves, big and tough enough to play backrow, can play hooker and centre.

I'm not a fan of Jackson and Jake in the same team - very similar, and Graham could be an option on the bench if a front rower drops off.

IFthe team was truly selected on current form and not some "yes, but SOO is what he is made for. Ignore his club form" set of standard, then T. Turbo has to be THE in form fullback in the competition. Whilst I am bias towards Manly players, can anyone honestly name a fullback who is performing better through the first 4 rounds?

Tedesco is going pretty good and is a better organizer and adds more in attack in terms of ball playing. TT on the wing or in centres, both should be there.
Tedesco - TT
Run 692m - 824
Line breaks 3 - 5
Try Assists 2 - 1
Off loads 4 - 4
Line break assists 4 - 0
Tackle breaks 34 - 12
tackles 12 - 18
Missed tackles 5 - 6
Errors 6 - 5
