Used to be a feeder club for the Bunnies and pretty sure a couple of other N R L franchises so not that big a deal in contest and doubt if the present Bear 's administration would ever be keen on stronger links , the W A . possible link also to take into account naturally
Townsville Blackhawks who are usually a fairly competitive outfit in the Queensland cup and in the heart of Cowboy's country are now a feeder club to the Bunnies .
That is a big deal .
Not that familiar with footy connections or alignments in the greater Sydney area but that probably still expanding N W Sydney suburban area could be more [ if it is not currently ] a Manly target area

I felt that with the May signing , we might come out now and confirm Bateman , but there still a giant silence on that front.

So maybe that’s it , if anything a little underwhelming.

Tigers will still be wanting Bateman gone so they can keep Sione Fainu, they won’t risk him going to Dragons with the chance the brothers could eventually follow him there especially with a clear path to halfback for Latu. I have no inside info but I’d say it’s stalled because we will be trying to get them to pay more of Batemans contract then they want. Manly knows they are desperate for roster spots so we have the leverage in this situation

I dont think we are finished and Bateman wont be at the Tigers come round 1.

Whether he's here or not who knows but he isnt back in the country till after Xmas

The Fainu’s have zero loyalty , they’ll go anywhere for an extra few thousand.

Plenty on here crow about losing them, I’m starting to think that was a good thing.

They’ve been the feeder club for the Storm before - remember when Billy Slater was dropped for a game? He ran out for Norths one Sunday before the main game between us & Melbourne.

I really think it is our younger lessor known forwards we need to have break out years in 2025 for our team to move forward.

Simpkins, CKT, Nella, Burbo, Patolo, Bull, Sipley, James. Just may be Navale or Pua'Avase.

They have the experienced older men around them. But these are the ones that we need to be in the Rep and or Rookie of the year discussions for our team to really be a threat.

What did they sign Luai for?

Lachlan Galvin was established above Latu at 5/8th in 2024.

Read it as if Lat followed her brother to the Dragons where he'd have a clearer path to 7.

But a bit of speculation there on Sione ending up at the Dragons to vegin with.
