A pokie palace like the C-B Leagues’ Club at Belmore, has had to pay taxes (or more taxes) on poker machine revenue, around the turn of the century. Around the same time, pubs were allowed to introduce pokies into their entertainment mix.

So along come those white knights in the shape of Mr Laundy Sr and Jr, to help out the Bulldogs. A family who have made their fortune in pubs.
Pubs that are worth mind boggling sums of money these days. In part off the back of poker machine revenue.

It is somewhat ironic.

Interesting if Tevaga is joining the club, he has had a lot of handling errors the last two seasons, similar body type of Caleb Navale.

Need to sign some depth in the backrow, the squad is lacking two edge forwards next season.

Public service announcement. Ignore news from Zero Tackle until you see it elsewhere. It could be true but they have an ordinary strike rate. FWIW I'd like Jazz at Manly as depth/14. If he ever plays on an edge something has gone very wrong.
