2026 recruitment & retention

This comes from a place of morals. I am heavily opposed to AI in editing positions as someone who often creates and edits videos using the necessary manual methods. It applies across fields into photography too. It's a repulsion from someone simply not having the effort or authenticity to do what everyone else has to.

This is also based upon the questionable legality of this person stealing other people's articles and photos, proceeding to edit them into AI generated videos as to avoid copyright filters, and then passing it off as his own work.

He doesn't even bother to fact check. It had several facts wrong within the first minute or so of the video. The Moses to Roosters rumour was completely unsubstituted by Hooper, with no other source/journalist corroborating that story. Hooper effectively changed his choice of words to indicate that the rumour he started was a fact like gravity. As indicated here before, we have a grand total of four Issac Moses players at our club, which can be easily determined, and yet the video instead simply copies what a highly SSO ranked Fox League article said, likely the first result.

I simply cannot get behind that. It's lazy, unethical, and goes beyond fair use. Why should he be able to avoid the processes everyone else has to undergo? He doesn't use his face or real persona when doing these things, and hence cannot be held accountable. The rest of us in the broader field are.
AI will be the death knell of society. Turning us all into non thinking automatons. It’s also detracting from my YouTube experience.

I think the important signings will be young guns with potential , not old has beens.

TKO needs another , pity about Jazz.

I think it’s the year after ( lower contract valued for Tom/Jake ) where we will have money to spend on a more established prop.

Getting later in the season now, would be good to hear about another first grade signing after Fogarty
We need a big scalp i think..
Someone like a Tino, Haas, Koloamatangi type.
And i know we have some young kids coming through but izzy katoa would be a dream signing. I think we should of gone hard for him instead of fogarty

Garner is still available according to latest reports and we are one of the clubs chasing but theres a few with interest. Maybe we are just being mentioned because of the nostalgia factor from his days playing with Tom in juniors.

Time will tell I guess

We need a couple of young backrowers like Steep, Foketi, White and Mooney type players. We also need a young prop who can play big minutes like T May and White and a no14 like Dylan Walker.
Not a big fan of Dylan walker …. Don’t know whether it is the pizza matter or the assault of his wife… but something just doesn’t sit right!

Just sayin’

Its a pity we are losing Jazz.

He is one tough hombre.
He is good Bob. Surprised you think so. Spotting effective players in the hooking position is not usually your forte'.
So you think the club needs another player that has a very high opinion of themselves,is injury prone,a Tigers reject and is an Isaac Moses client.I suppose it’s the type of player Seibold and co continually target so…..
The Panthers are looking @ him apparently.

He is not really a hooker imo.

There is barely a competent hooker in the NRL in 2025. Look at the Origin hookers , Grant and Robson a pair of hacks at best. Talk of Brailey being next man up for NSW amazes me until I look at who is available.

If Matt Ballin was around now he'd be a 20 games Origin and Test player.

The days of Steve Walters and Benny Elias are long gone. Even that cheat from Melbourne was half decent.

I do like our Jake Simpkin as a long term 9.

End of rant.
