2026 halves plan

I think Fogarty would be 600k max.

A downgrade as of this second, perhaps, but in 12 months, 18th months or 24 months who knows.

Father time is of course undefeated.
Counterpoint to a “downgrade” if,for arguments sake” Fogarty is signed(I’m not a fan of hypotheticals) is that the club hasn’t won anything since DCE took over as the leader,in fact they’ve been rather poor other than a TomT miracle year,so why not try something different

Daily Mail are saying a ‘insider’ has said Lachlan Galvin is who manly want to replace Cherry-Evans from 2026. Not sure if this was posted in another thread or not but this vid was from about 40 minutes ago

Cant see that happening. Rumours of reynolds and foz for 1 year. Which makes sense. Fogarty will want a long term deal.

I think there will be a bridging player signed for next season, if the Rorters sign DCE or whoever does they will be out of the picture for Galvin.

I think Galvin has been on the radar for some time and he will be a target, Jake and Tom will take reduced contract values for 2027 and beyond and that will put the club in a good position for Galvin if the cards fall that way.

There have been rumours of Manly and galvin ever since he burst on the scene last year.
Wouldn't disappoint me if we got him, it might 'galvinise' our squad 😀

Why Galvin? Based on media reports, he would not come cheaply.

Meanwhile we have a highly rated homegrown player, who should start playing first grade relatively soon.

Galvin is proven to be a top class talent. Our guys have potential but it’s completely different to be able to do it in top grade. Galvin will probably end up being a lock in a few years time as well which would still leave a spot for Large & Walsh if good enough

Without road testing Walsh it’s difficult to say where he sits, time will tell, I hope they test him soon in NSW cup to get a gauge of where he is.

Large the same thing he needs to be road tested, from what I have seen him and Brooks may not gel.

Galvin is a talent for sure, I don’t know what clubs will pay him but I expect that through Moses and previous links to Galvin Manly are a chance like everyone else. There are a few that think he will be the best player in the game in a few years.

‘Calvin’ Galvin’s management team were probably even quicker off the mark - seeking a big contract upgrade (or else) - than DCE’s, c.2012.

Buyer beware. I hope he stays at the Tigers.

Doesn’t galvin want ridiculous money though? Better off just getting someone short term then bring through walsh and large

Many assumed DCE would be happy the try and win a comp as an Eagle as Captain, after 15 years and so many years on big $$$ at Man. He owed the club didn't he? But yeah nah.

$$$$ and self interest first and foremost.

I know peeps are looking for someone in a Manly jersey to give em the slightest amount of faith in, from a club perspective right now.

But yeah nah. Don't think it twice.

Right now and then next year, Cherrys going to be telling all our players.and particularly pricking the Turbos ears with how much extra he is earning in 3rd parties, how much he's getting in the cap, then the $$ arranged post footy and how that teams better positioned to win em that premiership.

Turbo Jurbo and Burbo will all do a hammy faster than running down the Corso or falling over in the shower.

Even Guacs not safe, AFB has shown if you want out of a Manly deal for more $$$$$$. No worries.

No longer do 37 year old rep players go to struggling teams for their last big pay day. Now the teams with millions more to spend just add em as mentors whilst the poor club like Man unrealistically pin their hopes and dreams on kids.
'A Manly super star will take a reduced contract to stay at manly". Unfortunately in 2025 and beyond I think it's a different era. And those great days are now just a fantasy. So Sad.
