Jake T.

The problem is he doesn't want to use that shoulder he hurt in SOO anymore, He has been grabbing player's not tackling ever since. Same go's for SAAB he won't stretch out and run properly because he's scared of doing hamstrings most of the time now if he gets in the clear he runs 3 quarter pace or turns and looks to off load.

I don't get the comments seemingly wanting him to retire. Sure, we get a million dollars for next year Who on earth are we supposed to spend it on?

We're already losing Tevaga, Croker, Aloiai, Sipley, Lodge by the looks of things, and some on here want Jake to go as well.

No doubt those same people would also complain about how unfit all our young middles are next year.

It's all or nothing for some. We're already losing half our ancient pack, the halfback and captain who has been here since the T-Rex, and then they want to throw Jake and Seibold in there too.

We are 10th. We are not 17th. To quote my least favourite generation's slang, "take a chill pill".

I suggested for his health that he retire but I want him as our defense coach in place of Dymock. I don’t want him going to Super league!

Jake is cooked. If we are all honest he adds little in the modern game.
The entire supporter base wants to remember the bloke as the great Eagle he was prior to the rule changes .. for the sake of another year I hope they make the right decision. It was hard to watch last week seeing him in Disneyland again.

He will offer the club a lot in other capacities going forward.

Jake went out to make a statement ..it was the start of the second half he went out to hit big papa hard. His been doing it his whole career including this year. That’s what he does best ….hurt the opposition with his d.watch the the game against the storm.he is still one of the hardest hitters in the game .the harder you hit the more chance you have of knocking yourself out. Look at Radley knocks himself out every second week but he hits with intent every tackle like Jake. Jake still has an important role to play for another year if he wants to.

Speaking from experience, Spudd would know. Great comments by him:

"Concussions stay in your body. I look at Jake, he is one of the most technical defenders I've seen since Steve Menzies. But he's been putting his head where you wouldn't put your feet," Carroll said. (Lol)

"I've actually reached out to him, made sure he's OK. I've got a lot of time for Jake, he's a really beautiful human.

"But this game of rugby league... you don't realise until you retire the effects these concussions have had on you.

"You can't say (he should) retire, but hopefully it doesn't get to the stage where he has to be medically retired.
