Apparently he had more off loads in 24 than any other player.

I'm sure our Stats men will tell us if that's slightly wrong. It is a Surprising stat for a back that's for sure.

The game below is admittedly against reserve grade standard.

But he looked better in the forwards on an edge than in the backs. He'd be worth playing in ressies and giving him a go as a mobile off loading forward.

Finished the game playing in the middle.

This Ben Hunt situation is interesting. Now reported the Broncos are favoured to sign him there could be a ripple effect occurring as a result.
Brisbane have to make some hard choices to keep their squad together. Now with Hunt in the mix they will have to offload a quality player or 2.

We have extended a lot of our top 17 so I can't imagine we have a ton of cap room to play with.

We still have to pay Schuster $600k or so to honour his departure. Is it possible we are trying to pay this all off this coming season?

With DCE likely to go around again 2026, I see a world where he takes a big pay cut and Schuster money is clear for one last premiership push before retirement.

All our signings this off season have all been money ball type signings on min contracts.
With the cap increase and some departing players it’s hard to know why we haven’t made any significant signings.

Paying off the Schuster contract all this year could be the reason why.

Would love some transparency from clubs regarding cap space like they do in the NBA. The NRL and media would make a killing with the content around this.
