I think it has been smart of the club to keep some money, and positions, available for mid-season transfers. Often you can pick up a bargain. It's too early to tell if we have 'scored' with 'Scoop' and 'Simple'. What is unknown is why the club simply didn't upgrade its most promising 'development' players to the top squad. To me it suggests a lack of confidence in them.

Thought the same and kind of concluded the same. Clayton F is to be elevated next season from memory. Not much matterson talk or gordie form, they were given incentive by inclusion

The side for mine has looked a little top heavy in utility players for some time .With brooks , a hooker , a couple of likely fullback prospects we seem to be assembling a more purpose built squad

As its shaping more it seems clearer where we need to recruit than ever before .

I would also imagine if we are to elevate , the decision will be delayed as long as possible for both funds and to enable us to elevate based on injury at the time

Could we make it Liam Martin?
Yep, Martin, Su'a, Crichton, someone in that style of player
Obviously not a player as expensive as those ones, but one who is in that style, and on their way to becoming that good. Over to you, Manly's talent scouts.

He makes the 28TH player signed for 2024 and the 25TH player signed for 2025 according to the NRL contracted players page.

Ok then. I was going off the teams page from the Manly website. I'm assuming some players on that list aren't top 30 players then

He is tied down until the end of 2027. By then he could be a NSW and/or international player.

So no likely ‘homecoming’ soon, if ever.

Hmmmm, it's almost reading as if our recruitment and retention may have fkd up.....again.

I know everyone wants to get rid of aloiai as he is on 600k but only if we can replace him with another strong forward.
The ideal signing that we need is mitch barnett, a tough middle forward to join paseka in the front row and we would pay 600k for him. He's smart, tough and mobile all things you need in a modern day middle forward.

Galvin will be a ball playing 13 in the Yeo mould… just might take him a few years. You could throw Trbo at 12.. not a bad 11-12-13

Would be a good successor for dce.

Moses is a top class half, one of the best in the game. If DCE retired he would certainly be someone I'd look at. Mind you young Humphries may be worth more encouragement. Manly he's kept him so he's seen as potential first grade.
