Starring....MANLY!!!!

First Semi Final:
Friday 20th September 7.50pm
Cronulla Sharks v Nth Qld Cowboys

Second Semi Final:
Saturday 21st September: 8.00pm
Sydney Roosters v Manly Sea Eagles

Though maybe that should be - the super well rested rorters (because of nrl moronasaurasness) v Manly Gods.

The Who

Journey Man
Potentially there will be some interesting discussions around the selection of our 17 against Easts.
None of the 17 who toiled so manfully against Canterbury deserve to be omitted, but if Saab is available then there could be a change. Who would you drop? I imagine TTII would be the unlucky one, although the thinking may be that he could handle the bigger Easts wingers better than 'the boy wonder'. An incredibly tough decision, and perhaps it would be better to leave the backline unchanged and give Saab another week to recover...
And then there is the issue of The Lawman V Burbo. Should we start Burbo against Easts? He is a bigger body and a better line breaker. The Lawman is a solid defender and a tireless worker who may be better suited to closing out a match to protect a lead.
Thoughts?

Could be Saab and Lehi wings, Talau to bench, Ben 18th man.

easts wingers are tall. if saab is available we need him. Garrick and Talau centre. Koula and lehi share the other wing. But saab is probably not ready . lawton to start and burbo on the bench

I like this. Talau to cover if Tommy falls apart. Koula or Hoppa to fullback.

Bulldogs tragic living in heart of Manly-Warringah
Think we could see two upsets this week.

Roosters and Sharks out in straight sets
Interesting call, could be a good multi…what margins do you have in mind?

Not that i have much sympathy for the Sharks and their inability to get a remotely good crowd vs Cows at the SFS:

2012 Wk 2 Fri night at SFS semi final - Manly 22 bt Cows 12 - crowd 16,678
2011 Wk 1 Sat night at SFS semi final - Manly 42 bt Cows 8 - crowd 13,972
2007 Grand final qualifier Sat night at SFS - Manly 28 bt Cows 6 - crowd 32,611

He has nothing to lose as he wont be there next year
He does have something to lose if he wants to be there next week!

Will certainly be interesting to watch as everyone knows the whistle is placed 3/4 the way into the pocket in finals.

Lodge and especially Brown can be baited but the same goes for JWH and also Leniu and Radley, should he play.

I actually hope Manly concentrates on tough footy and doesn't get distracted by this sort of sideshow.

Big chance JWH doesn't control his aggression ands winds up in the bin or off.

Like @SER8 said he has a lot to lose, any suspension and that's his NRL days over. He's probably (ridiculously) dreaming of a premiership farewell! 🤭
