2023 England v Tonga Internationals

It was obvious after the first test that Will Hopoate's lack of pace was a liability at fullback, yet Woolf persisted in playing him there for the entire series.

I'm not sure Koula had any roving commission, I just think he went looking for the ball more because he was catching colds out on the left wing with the Tongan attack constantly going to the right side. Either way he was wasted in this series. Should have been the fullback from the start, if not from the 2nd test.
Agree I said that after the1st test ,Koula wasted at 5 in 3 matches!! just dumb.
Goodluck the Dolphins if Wolff's selection policy is such that he cannot see the above plus the fact Hurrell is beyond it ,Hoppa maybe in the centers way too slow at 1 , the 7 and 6 have created nothing ,Hamole wasted in the 1st test ,the other winger slower than George Tafua ,Suli and Hurrell together the worst centre pairing both defensive liabilities and error prone (esp Hurrell) ,just really disappointed Tonga could not put up a better effort. Wolffe could have given Fainu a go at 7 as Lolohiela ? is another player not really up to that standard anymore
Even accounting for AFB not being there and pretty much every call going bloody Englands way and England being allowed to slow the ruck and niggle away at will .
Anyways hopefully no injuries to our boys

I think it was over 15000 so not too bad a turnout although I think they were hoping for more. Nowt wrong with that weather it's still shorts and t shirt weather for me
Nowt.I love that word (Watching a re-run of Line of Duty (series 2). Stephen Graham (one of my favourite English actors) says it with such conviction. Love it.
Yes, I see I’ve once again veered off the road of the intended thread.😱

I’ll try and straighten it up by saying the crowd at yesterdays Kiwi v Australia game was embarrassing. And that is not a slight on the Kiwis. If that had been played in Sydney, I’d say only friends and family of the players would’ve turned up (and that is even debatable).

Point is, the Rugby League fans, like the players, need a break. The phrase "too much of a good thing" is evident from the low crowd figures and the lack of enthusiasm from Fox that the majority of footy fans are not interested in comps run after the GF. Just a corporate money grab.

Just from the highlights from the last couple of English games noticed a couple of new [ or relatively new ] outside backs and front rower with that type of lean and athletic build and fairly sharp playing style .
Guess nothing that particularly significant but just to give the current U K side a bit more of a competitive edge and some better attacking ability

So does this mean Koula is going to miss round 1
