The Sea Eagles are set to be without back-rower Haumole Olakau'atu for their round one clash with Penrith after he suffered an elbow injury in the pre-season trial loss to Canberra.
Martin Taupau (back) and Dylan Walker (ankle) also suffered injuries at Central Coast Stadium but Hasler was confident both would be right for round one.
