[Resurrected] 2021+ On & Off Season Misdemeanors

Chris Dawson - might have been mentioned earlier in this thread? Trial is running now and not looking too good for him. Murder etc is probably more than a misdemeanour lol, but what the hey.
The Dawson twins were glamour players back in the day.

Chris (or was it Paul? I can't remember) did a term or two as a PE teacher at my all boys school. I can understand why he gained a transfer to a co-ed school.
Regardless, I have not seen any conclusive evidence to show that he is guilty. It is all speculation. I believe any juror will have 'reasonable doubt' and, unless something concrete turns up soon. I can't see him being convicted.

I haven't followed reports of the trial other than the odd snippet, but based on those snippets I'd rate your opinion 'optimistic', lol.

It's a judge-only trial I believe.

Finally, thanks to Norman, the ghost of Hoppa's finger has been exorcised.

Former NRL star Corey Norman facing monster ban for alleged Hoppa-like finger up backside act

Former NRL star Corey Norman is facing up to eight games on the sidelines for allegedly trying to stick his finger up an opposing player’s backside.

Norman has been charged with the Super League’s harshest ‘Grade F’ charge which carries a minimum eight-match ban under the terms of ‘other contrary behaviour’. The 31-year-old faces being ruled out for the rest of the season.

The allegations, reported in UK’s The Sun newspaper, comes 21 years after the infamous NRL case involving John Hopoate.

So much for being Inclusive ...

Actually, now it's the 2022 off season, we could (unfortunately) start a new thread.

North Queensland Cowboys NRL player Luciano Leilua has been charged following an alleged domestic violence incident in Sydney.

NSW Police were called to a home on Alexandra Crescent, Harrington Park, after reports of an alleged domestic violence incident around 1pm on Monday.
Officers were told a 26-year-old woman had allegedly been assaulted by a man.

I see Laui in trouble too, dropping N-Bombs on social media. I don't know the context, but still he's an idiot.

Definitely a new thread is warranted. 431 posts to exceed last season’s thread, which I think was a fairly average offseason.

We should take bets on unders/overs, or guess how many convictions come from off-season ‘shenanigans’…

All these misdemeanours by other clubs pale into insignificance to our In The Hood King Stabbie Manese Fainu who is sitting in jail living out his destiny.

Give me the others every day of the week.

and this ..

Former Canberra Raiders star Mark McLinden was arrested by NSW Police after invading the pitch during Sunday’s NRL grand final between Parramatta and Penrith.

McLinden jumped the fence and onto the playing field at Accor Stadium at Sydney Olympic Park during the second half. He wore a yellow shirt with the words “End coal, gas & oil” on the front. “For our kids” was written on the back.

McLinden, wearing football boots for grip, ran to the southern end of the ground and ripped off the Telstra advertising from a pad on the goal post.

He then stepped past several security guards and tried to rip the other Telstra sign from the adjacent pad.

In an attempt to avoid security guards, McLinden ran towards the other end of the field where Parramatta were attacking Penrith’s goal line.

He got 20m downfield before he was tackled by a guard, who escorted him from the field.
