Foran can use a 3 week mid-season break. Deserves a break (kinda morbid to say since he got injured). But since it's only a hand injury, gives the rest of his body and hammies a nice rest, a bye also in between his recovery so he's only really missing 3 games at most. Will come super fresh and focused for our finals charge

Sounds like he'll need surgery which will mean a much longer stint on the sidelines.

Sirro back next week with Foz out & Schuster moving to 5/8th is very handy timing.

It also means Olakau'atu keeps his spot (if Des was intending to bring Sirro back in that position).

Siro and Walker now not expected back till after the bye in rd 14. Foz after the bye. All big maybes. Who else is over the poor expected return dates that Manly continually run out. I don't think I've ever seen a long termer not go at least a month over the expected return. It's just sh*thouse.

Well, the quality of the reports with some video footage intercut into it has improved, so keep up the good work Manly Media Department.
The disappointing news is that we have none of our casualty ward ready to return this week. I'm sure we'd all prefer to club to overestimate the length of recovery of players rather than underestimate it, as seems to be the case. Sir Loin is the latest example.
Our players rarely come back earlier than reported, and it would be a welcomed surprise if players did come back earlier than expected.

When you look at the injury lists from each club it's no wonder Penrith and Parramatta are at the head of the competition. According to NRL.com:
  • The 'Riff have every player available
  • Doesn'tmatta and the Tugers have 3 injuries
  • Broncos - 5
  • Cows - 6
The worst hit for injuries and suspensions are:
  • Illawarra - 12
  • Newcastle - 11
  • Canberra and Canterbury - 10
  • Manly, Melbourne and Souths - 9
  • Easts, Cronulla, Tits and NZ - 8

So, when you read/hear about the depth at Penrith it is untested. Their time will surely come, and like last year they may be unlucky enough to cop the unavailabilities around finals time.
