Abbas went OK for Lebanon. Caught out in defence a few times, but was strong with the ball in hand and came away with a couple of meat pies for his efforts.

He also did bloody well to out jump Vunivalu near the end and save a try. Not many can say they've done that to Vunivalu on the field.

Bad result, many questions to be answered by the new coach who was installed just before the world cup who now has turned the team 180deg in under 10 matches.

Should have been a penalty to Aus earlier in the game, red card was yellow at most and Norway's forward should have gone off with a second yellow.
But at the end of the day the tactics were questionable, the team completely underperformed and then they choked on penalties.
Oh well, go Barty at Wimbledon!

Yep. More eyes up footy. Not the 3 hits ups, 2 block plays and a kick to the corner drudgery we get served up weekly. And nowhere near as much wrestling. Passionate and off the cuff like the old days.

I watched the NZ/Tonga game , missed the others due social activities and I must say the lead up to this game was absolutely incredible.

The passion in the players faces as the Tongan anthem was being played was memorable AND then Benji Marshall ( take a bow lad) was unmissable to watch during “ God defend NZ”, wow, no truly WOW!!

And then the Tongan and Kiwi “ haka’s” , absolutely spine tingling!!

Compare this to our lot who protest and won’t sing our own anthem.

Shame on them I say, look at the Islanders who have shown how it really should be done!!

To be fair I’m aware that these were test matches and the other was just SOO but my opinion still remains the same.
