In light of possible returns (Walker) and the injuries (Tom, Siro and Kelepi), I'm going to amend my previous prediction.

M. Wright, Parker, Walker, Kelly, Uate, Croker, Cherry-Evans (c), Fonua-Blake, Koroisau, Taupau, Thomson, Winterstein, J. Trbojevic. Bench - Hastings, Lane, Perrett, Lussick.

I have a feeling that Baz will keep Hastings in the utility role, move Matty Wright to FB and name Walker to return in the centres with Parker shifted to the wing. For mine, Frank will likely come back into the side for Siro ahead of Gosiewski or (heaven forbid) Lewis Brown, while I think Lussick will get a reprieve thanks to Tanginoa's injury.

I really think this is the opportunity to use Tom W. or Anderson. They are wasted in the Intrust side. Give them a shot at the big time. Anderson on the wing especially could be a match winner.

I don't know if this is the right opportunity but agree on Anderson ahead of T Wright for a FG debut. But where do you play him? Dump Parker or Uate?

Agree that will be team. Thankfully Lussick hadn't taken off and now has a last chance to deliver.

I thought I read somewhere Jetski was injured on Saturday, so he may not be available. Therefore Frank should replace Siro.

So how do you propose to select Anderson? Do you want him added to our 'Top 30'?
If so, what about Suli? Or if you want a spot to be available for him as well, then there's no room for any forwards to cover for the players we just lost.
Not to mention no room for any halves cover. Or Fainu, for example.

Or if not added to the top 30, I can't in a million years imagine the NRL giving us special dispensation to use Anderson, when we have other fit wingers in our top 30.

Therefore ... if Anderson is to debut this year, it may be later if (heaven forbid) we get even more injuries to outside backs.

I'd have to agr
Tom has loads of pace and ability that few players poses
Natural ability with added confidence does wonders for young gifted players
and coaches are the ones that can bring out the best in those players by believing in them and adding confidence to their ability which is a lethal combination .
Tom Wright is a dangerous gun . He just needs a coach to believe in him ,load him up with confidence and send him out on the field to kill .
Tom Wright is the most dynamic young player I have seen since Phil Blake
I'd have to agree - have only seen him play 'live' one time, in that trial against the Roosters a few weeks back - but geez he stood out with his pace and skill. I've seen him do some dumb things in games as well (on telly), but he's very young. Phil Blake comparison is not far off the mark. Didn't we blood him at about the age of 18?

We have injuries but you can't keep picking Uate if he is playing s##thouse. Someone else has to get a chance, we have two vacant spots in the top 30 so there is room to add the best backline player from reserves if need be or sign another player. If Darcy leaves you are back to two vacant spots. Plus you have the 6 development spots who is occupying those?

Edit: BS the NRL Uate has a tight hamstring or some **** if you have to

Good team but id try Sipley instead of Winterstein . If he's picked i hope he proves me wrong. Id go Lussick or Perrett to start drop Frank and bring Sipley to the bench.

Yeh I'm down with that. If Lussick has been released then Frankenstein onto bench. If Jetski is injured then does Lane go to that right edge ?? he's played a bit there.

If the Phantom isn't ready then that cause more problems. He was interviewed on Saturday night at the ground but I didn't listen to it - did he mention how he was travelling and whether he is a chance this week ?? No Walker will make it interesting. Does TB put Thommo into centre in that scenario - he has a track record of using Brown there - and push Parker to wing and Wright back to 1. Or does he just bring Brown straight into centre so as to not upset the left / right combos too much ? I guess the other option for minimal disruption of backline is Hastings to 1 and Brown onto bench.

Anyway could be an interesting side if Lussick and Walker not available

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles

Dylan Walker is due to make his first appearance of the season after missing the pre-season through injury. The news softens the blow after Trent Barrett lost Tom Trbojevic (ankle) for the next fortnight and key forwards Curtis Sironen and Kelepi Tanginoa (both knee) for the remainder of the season.

Dylan Walker (leg/ankle, round 5)
Curtis Sironen (knee, season)

Tom Trbojevic (ankle, round 7)
Kelepi Tanginoa (knee, season)
Jorge Taufua (collarbone, round 12)

Took a few pics at the ground up here in Gladstone and the playing oval looks pretty darn good.In a week it will be a little better.Looks pretty comfortable to go diving around on.
