2017 Premiership is Open

Like most - I agree it's Storm on top....the rest 2nd.....
Thing is - Eels easily could have beaten them last week and were probably in fact, a touch unlucky.
Nth Qld come out as 4/1 underdogs and beat Eels in a canter....
Manly could easily have beat Penrith who in turn, could have, if they played like the week before - beat Brisbane.
Makes last weeks loss worse as we could easily still be playing for a GF spot...such is footy....
But don't count on any certainties in 2017 from what has played out so far.

Agree - Team to beat, but did you see last weeks game?
Eels who got smoked could easy have beat them.
Will take the odds against them in the GF - if they make it.

I think the Drizzle dodged a bullet last week and I think they will be very happy that Whingers are out. For me it is the Roosters who are their biggest threat as a Roosters v Drizzle final will mean most of the crowd will be pro Chooks and the Drizzle will have their work cut out. Recently Easts stretched them like no other team has so far and I see them being a big obstacle. However, do not right off the Cows, they have the experience to get the job done. I think the Donkeys will struggle to stop the storm who seem to get regularly owned by the Drizzle.

Last team to beat Melb was Parra in round 16 I believe....they are due a loss and I maintain that they wont win the comp.

Based on results to date, I can see the Stockmen upsetting the Red, White & Goosters next weekend.

The Roosters switched off against the Brum...err, Broncos, whereas you can't accuse the extremely focused Stockmen of doing that in either game so far.

The Protected Species and the Faecalmatta Maggots were expected to beat them easily. They didn't.

The Roosters should be fresh after a week off and that might be enough. But don't underestimate the underdog.

I agree Melbourne should win , but they will need to be on their game . The Cowboys are a well coached very tough and resilient side that can go all the way.

Spot on @sheridanstand78 that's exactly my opinion. I would add that the Cows not only have the experience, they have the tenacity and discipline to go all the way.

Just as long as it's not the Donkeys.
Of the remaining three it would be amazing if the 'Boys won the grand final. They have had so many injuries and were 'on tilt' 3/4 way though the premiership to be where they are now is a testament to their courage. They never give up.

Where's the fun in trying to work out which team I hate less? On the rare occasions I watch a non-Manly game I seem to automatically want the underdog to get up, just to piss off the fans of the favourites. Bit perverse but what the hey
