Na I haven't seen any evidence of the signing either mate. My evidence though consists of the telegraph or bsb etc. Turbo on this site keeps saying it's true who can argue !!!

Realistically , who is left to sign that's off contract in 2017 that's a massive improvement on what we have.
With Jamies departure we are going to need a 5/8 ( Walker to centre where he should be) , some reasonable wingers would be handy ( I'm retiring or just not playing the current fullback), 1 top flight prop, 2-3 handy forwards and one of those players to be an on field leader, not asking for much am I ......lol.

This is going to be a bigger player turnover than last year. The club is well and truly rebuilding. Most coming off contract I would let go.
I would be happy if a fit Matai stays on and plays out his contract but Brett Stewart really isn't filling the roll of a fullback and has to go. He has served us well and will go down as one of our all time great but it's well and truly time.

I can't see us picking up a good 5/8. Luke Keary was today announced as joining the Chooks and I don't think we can afford Norman even if we don't have Killer or Snake, and Keary and Norman were easily the only decent ones off-contract. That leaves either Koroisau or Isaac John and given John's injury history (and that he is only contracted for this year) I can see Api getting first crack at it.
Hopefully we can pick up someone like Matt Gillett.....though I'm not holding out much hope really.

With myles and brown signed for three years each ( from memory ), I hope this doesn't hold us back cap wise , from buying a couple of big tall second rowers....rep standard....we need at least a quality centre, and someone to complement DCE....any player who's contract is finishing in 2016 can kiss their manly career goodbye....I just hope Bonzo the great goes for youth with a view that the side is seriously ready to give it a decent crack at a premiership by 2019, and not go for the quick fix with overrated mercenaries like they did for 2016.
