With the way things are going with some heavily back ended contracts at Manly, I can not see Hoppa ever coming back to Manly.

Well that'll be his loss not Manly's!

Manly have a culture like no other & a roster of players who are willing to play for less to be there.

We don't need players with a money-hungry SBW attitude.

SBW signed on for another year at the roosters.
Can't wait to play them again!!!

Is that a rumour or confirmed signing dog ?

"Pledged his commitment."

Well, at least we know he wont break that.

Roosters were supposedly allowed to be over the cap because of savings they had made during the previous year. That must mean that they have to make significant reductions in their playing roster this year to afford Remi Casty and the re-signing of sbw and to be able to get themselves under the cap. If they don't let go of some of their significant first grade players it will make a further mockery of Shubert's integrity.

NRL referees' boss Daniel Anderson has been linked with a return to Parramatta next season as the club's new general manager of football.
A number of well informed sources have told Fairfax Media that Anderson has been sounded out for the role and there is strong speculation he has accepted a four year deal.

There's been a bit of talk of Mini retiring.....not that he wants to.
Save some big $$$ and have TVS play fullback.
They sent Braith packing now it seems Mini's in the gun, who'd want to be the captain??

Mini was absolutely crazy not to retire on GF day. What better way to finish his career than with a GF win. He could have then taken a coaching role with the club (ala Fitzgibbon) or he could have gone to England for a retirement fund boost. Trying to hang on like he is will prove to be a mistake.

Last weeks RLW says that Glen Stewart will be in $800k next year and Watmough $900k thanks to Des' backending deals.

No wonder we cannot sign anyone for 2014.

I doubt that the UK was an option for him, he's about to become a father and I don't think a move overseas was on the cards.

Brisbane Broncos announce the signings of Todd Lowrie (2 years), Daniel Vidot (2 years) and Stewart Mills (1 year). Good pick-ups? — with Peter Talbot.source,Rugby League Week, another club with no limit on their salary cap

If they have paid more than $5 combined for Lowrie and Mills they have been ripped off

It's amazing that with all juniors at their disposal - by far the most of any club - that Brisbane recruit these average players. I don't know who is judging their young talent at Brisbane but I'd be happy to take their rejects.

was waiting for your opinion Kiwi, that seems to be the main consensus of a lot of Warriors fans about Lowrie, not saying you are a warriors fan,but you would watch a few of their games I imagine

List of new signings

The NSW Cup Prop of the Year, Josh Starling is a young front rower on the rise. He plays long minutes and will be well-suited to the Sea Eagles' style.

Cheyse Blair | Centre/Wing | 21 | Parramatta Eels
Tall, athletic outside back with plenty of NRL experience for such a young man. Cheyse will be a great addition to the Sea Eagles' developing backline.

Dunamis Lui | Prop | 23 | Brisbane Broncos
Powerful prop with great leg speed and well-tested in the NRL arena. Brisbane born and bred, but Dunamis is excited to be coming to Manly will adapt well to the Sea Eagles' club culture. Look for him to benefit greatly from the change of scenery.

Jayden Hodges | Hooker | 20 | North Queensland Cowboys
The Cowboys' U20s Player of the Year and with the best defensive stats in the 2013 Holden Cup, Jayden earned his shot in first grade late in the Cowboys' season. A clever, resilient player, he's sure to blossom in his first full time position. Signed with the Sea Eagles for three years, he'll study under the tackling master Matt Ballin and hone his hooking skills.

Jack Littlejohn | Halves | Canterbury Bulldogs
A clever player who can cover any position in the backline, he'll start training in the halves for Manly. He has a great kicking game, good organisational skill and will add depth to the Sea Eagles' back stocks.

Manaia Rudolph | Five-eighth/Centre | 20 | Wests Tigers
The top try-scorer in the 2012 U20s competition, Manaia is a great attacking back with an impressive step. A versatile player, he'll move back from centres to focus on five-eighth at Manly, providing some cover in the halves. Manaia will grow even more dangerous in his first year training full time and learning from one of the best halves combinations in the game.

Tyson Andrews | Prop | 23 | Mackay Cutters
The 2013 Player of the Year for Queensland Cup Premiers Mackay Cutters, Tyson is an impressive young front rower. He's got a great work ethic and hits the line hard.

Delroy Berryman | Wing | 22 | Redcliffe Dolphins
Signed by the Broncos on a second-tier contract Delroy spent the 2013 season carving up the Queensland Cup, second in the competition's try-scoring tally despite the Dolphins sitting only seventh on the ladder. He's got fantastic speed and knows how to find the try line.

Mark O'Dare (Train and Trial) | Outside back | 22 | Gold Coast Titans
Former Sydney Uni rugby player, Mark was signed by the Titans in 2013 and was very impressive in their pre-season before suffering an injury that set him back. He's a very dedicated athlete with amazing speed, looking for an opportunity as an outside back for the Sea Eagles.
