2008 bench

We all roughly know what the run on team is for this season,
so the question is what and who will be our major benchies for 2008
now that it is down to 10 interchanges more players will have to play more minutes and some will have to become 80 min players
do we go with 2 forwards and 2 utilities
3 forwards and a utility
2 forwards a back and a utility

my bench
Menzies
Cuthbertson
Perry
LeStrange

Has to be 3 forwards and possibly a Le'strange/Halden type.

What about the ex-Parra Kiwi that has been signed from Wigan. He is a utililty player and has not been signed to play what Premier League or reserve grade will be this year.

Vaealiki CW ? He can play FB Wing & Centre but i doubt he would be considered in the halves. I can only see LEstrange or Halden in the squad as the right sort of backup there.

I can only see 2 versions of the bench. The first is as BE nominated (likely Des' pick) and the alternative is if we were to see Beaver in the starting 13.

A)
Menzies
Cuthbertson
Perry
LeStrange

B)
Afa or Wells or Hall
Cuthbertson
Perry
LeStrange

You all really are just asking for a YART, aren't you.

01. Brett Stewart (no brainer)
02. Michael Robertson (great 2007)
03. Steve Matai (great GF, and NZ performance up until Gasnier)
04. Steven Bell (contract year, NEEDS to improve)
05. Michael Bani (Will be a weapon of all sorts IMO)
06. Jamie Lyon (will improve ALA Inglis with a year at 6 under his belt)
07. Matt Orford (no brainer - I expect MASSIVE things from him in 08)
08. Jason King (Improving every year. Great work)
09. Matt Ballin (Gun. I think he will cherish the challenge)
10. Brent Kite (no brainer)
11. Anthony Watmough (close to Aust side. Will lift)
12. Steve Menzies (strongest player for this position)
13. Glenn Stewart (Awesome offload - Des should use that both sides)

14. David Vaeliki (with beaver able to be 6, Vaeliki can cover other spots)
15. Adam Cuthbertson (pushing King for a starting spot IMO)
16. Josh Perry (will be player of the year for us IMO)
17. Glenn Hall (Offloads, tackles hard, is mobile, seems fit)

If Des wants the strongest team, there it is. Maybe Le'Strange in for Vaeliki.
