1992 Trial Game

Not the greatest quality but I stumbled upon a 13 minute video of a trial game Manly played in 1992 against a Hawkes Bay Invitational XVIII at the Hawkes Bay Sportspark in Hastings, NZ. Not a bad crowd from the looks of things.

I can't find a listing anywhere, but from what I can gather, the Manly side that day was:

I remember as I kid in NZ back then that Manly played a few trial games there preseason. I recall one against Auckland (not warriors) and Wainouamata (strong Wellington club) and Billy Weepus home club

I think that fullback with the mullet could be Jorgen "Yogi" Rogers who played with us a couple of years later

I remember back when Graham Lowe was our coach, some wags (before that meant Wive's And Girlfriend's) nicknamed us Māori Warringah because of the number of Kiwis we had in the squad like the Darrell Williams, the Iro brothers, Gene Ngamu and Matty Ridge.
