Wayne Lambkin our former premiership winning NYC coach playing under 23's for Manly here. I remember watching him play most weeks. His Dad would take me to the games and into the dressing sheds to meet the players. Great times.

I still have a audio cassette recording of this whole game called by Hollywood and Zorba. Great call, and they were caught off guard by Stan Jurd busting through a straight line off a tap to score through paper thin defence!

In the Ch7 Big Game in 1981 game at Easter between Sharks and Eels, you can see Cliff Lyons go to the sideline along side the touchie. While he was waiting for a break in play to replace someone in the Sharks team the fulltime siren went. He wasn't seen again until he joined Norths in 1985. He played for Norths against Manly at Brookie in 1985. NSWRL 1985 - Round 24 - Rugby League Project

I vividly recall being at that balmain game when Daley thumped Pearce high a few times. The one he got sent off for didn’t miss. Bozo must have given him instructions to destroy Pearce.

Recall Manly [ and listening on the wireless ] playing the Panthers on a Tuesday night play off for 5 th i think that year with Manly falling short . Not sure if Eagle 66 has included it but also recall Manly playing the Dragons in an Anzac day [ maybe mid week] club game with Manly getting off to a good start but being eventually run down in an entertaining game . still had a good side that year .
