    [Resurrected] Ezra Mam

His arrogant post try actions showed him to be pretty non-repentant IMO.

    Rebuild at what cost?

The western pathways program resulted in a batch (11 or 12 players) of supposedly gun young players (all managed by Tartak) signed by the club. Those players included the Fainus x 4, Schuster, Titmuss (RIP), Saab, Olakau’atu, Suli, etc. Those players were then used as leverage by Tartak to...

    Lehi deserves the 1

Yeah I reckon Lehi has a better footy mind & read of the game at fullback than Koula.

    Club News 2025

Yeah the capacity of the hill has been slashed ever since they introduced those corridors on each side. Someone said they're for safety, so people can get out easily if there's any sort of disaster, but they have those sections fenced off by the corridors, so you have to make your way to the...

Oh absolutely, clubs can & do pay overs for certain players, but that doesn't automatically mean that's the market value of those players is the point I was trying to make.

    State of Origin, 2025.

Yep, Latrell puts the effort in on the big stage, it's at club level that he's inconsistent & goes missing.

I agree - market value can't be based on the potential of a 19 year old who has only played 1.5 years of first grade footy & achieved nothing, it can only be based on his experience & what he has achieved thus far. What the Tigers offered him doesn't automatically equate to market value.

I reckon so, Bellamy was in the box with Daley.

    The Daly Cherrygraph

I noticed a distinct lack of mention of his name by the commentators throughout the game - most noticeably when Coates scored his try, the commentators completely ignored DCE’s flick pass to Toia yet waxed lyrical about Toia’s flick pass to Coates. Towards the end Cam Smith was pretty much...

So any transfer fee agreed to comes off a club’s “soft cap” but his actual salary still comes out of the normal salary cap then. I wonder if the soft cap is also what is used to fund the the coach & admin staff’s salaries? I assume so.

    Thank you, most gracious provider!

It kind of suggests that players don't develop & improve at Easts, they're imported & expected to perform, & if they don't, they're shipped out just as quickly.

Young Forwards - Do we have any?

Dunno, maybe YOU should ask THEM.

Young Forwards - Do we have any?

    Whoopee chook 👍

Young Forwards - Do we have any?

And yet I didn’t say any of them did go on to play grade, I said many local juniors didn’t want to play for Manly because of the Fulton factor. I then stated that over the years, I’ve heard from many blokes who’s sons were gun hookers (their opinions, not mine) yet wouldn’t dream of encouraging...

    Galvin

Gus has his man now, so if Gus ever decides to move on to another club in future, he can take Galvin with him (like he did Kikau, Burton & Crichton from Penrith).

Young Forwards - Do we have any?

Exactly, we’re pretty loaded in our backline so why would we have wanted to keep Tamale or Simonssen?

Young Forwards - Do we have any?

What gun hookers? I never said there were any gun hookers, I said I’d heard from many an older bloke over the years here on the Northern Beaches that their sons were gun hookers but because Bozo was at Manly & installed his own son in the hooking role (I.e. they were implying nepotism) these...

    Sea Eagles' Feet of Clay

I believe we're currently in transition between the Fulton & DCE era to (hopefully) a new era of a more balanced team in regards to the salary cap & becoming a more competitive club in the NRL. We've de-coupled ourselves from the western pathways, so our young talent coming through from there...
